Best Breakfast Around the Globe

12th May 2017, Charly Johnson

Breakfast is said to be the most important meal of the day so surely what you have is critical. So what are the best breakfasts around the globe that will help start your day the right way. In this blog we will talk about the best breakfasts around the world, from pancakes to cheesy toast.

It may be the most important meal of the day but it has always been my least favourite! This probably has something to do with me being half asleep still when eating it. My meals are usually filled with excitement, but not breakfast. So what dishes can I have to give me enthusiasm towards the most important meal of the day? Below are the best breakfast dishes I’ve found around the globe.

1.  A Welsh breakfast – Cheese on toast

Welsh Rarebit is the traditional breakfast, or also referred to as cheesy toast. This truly is a delicious breakfast and beats cereal any day! The thought of the bubbling cheese on the crispy bread makes my mouth water.

2. The famous USA breakfast – PANCAKES!

Three words, pancakes, maple syrup and bacon. I don’t think three foods ever fit so perfectly together. When I first heard about bacon and maple syrup it didn’t attract my attention at all, but trust me it is the best taste in the world! I would have breakfast 6 times a day if this was on the list.

3. The French petit déjeuner – le croissant

No surprise here that a croissant is in the mix, le croissant is probably one of my favourite snacks. The French must think the same as having this snack for breakfast, whether it’s filled with almonds or chocolate I could demolish around 5.

4. Korean breakfast – Rice?

This dish must be amazing because it is eaten at breakfast, lunch and dinner. You’ll get a small plate of kimchi, a bowl of rice and a bowl of clear vegetable soup. This sounds like a delicious dinner, but not sure if I could stomach it as the first thing I eat when waking up.

5. A healthy Hawaiian breakfast – Fruit and more fruit

Of course it consists of fruit, I always thought Hawaiian people just lived off of fruit anyway. A tropical variety of fruit is displayed on a plate, from strawberries and blueberries to oranges and grapes. I can’t personally think of a better breakfast to make you feel fresh in the morning.

6. Italian breakfast – Pizza?

Italians will commonly have pizza or spaghetti for breakfast… Ok ok I’m only joking but maybe this could be a new trend? But Italians will commonly have ‘cappuccino e cornetto’ aka a cappuccino and croissant. Slightly less exciting than a pizza but still very yummy.

Happy Coffee Cup

7. Spanish breakfast – Crisp bread

Well the Spanish usually eat everything really late anyway so surely this can be classed as lunch? but anyway they will have a Pan a la Catalana, or Pan con Tomate. Simple but also delicious. It is crispy some bread toppped with fresh garlic and ripe tomato, then drizzle with olive oil and salt. B.E.A.Utiful.

8. Traditional German breakfast – Sausages and beer!

Of course sausage is involved and surprisingly no beer. German sausage known as wursts with local cheeses and freshly baked bread is the normal the common breakfast. This is all washed away with a delicious strong coffee to help wake you up.

9. Breakfast in Japan – Fish?!

Fish for breakfast? I’m not too sure about this one but I shouldn’t knock it before I try it. But a common breakfast is tofu with fish and rice then smothered in soy sauce. A healthy, nutritional and rather unusual choice.

10. Full English – Eggs and bacon (yumm)

Of course the best until last. The full English or also known as the fry up or even f’linglish. Beans, sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, hash browns and toast. I could eat this all day everyday and of course it is to be drank with a tea or coffee.
