Company agreed to move us on a specified date, took 50% deposit, confirmed date when we updated to say we were exchanging.
After exchange we confirmed again to be told that they'd given our booking slot away. No apology, no explanation.
We attempted to speak to them but they have avoided all calls and emails.
Deposit returned to bank account, but no communication by ATR.
On moving day, ATR appear with our purchasers, having apparently had enough capacity to move them, but not us.
Their staff were obnoxious and rude to us, and our replacement removal firm who we'd managed to find at short notice.
Their behaviour was apparently acceptable because 'it was a management decision, not us' but this cut very little ice given the fact that they were in ATR uniform and driving a liveried van, thus being the customer facing front of the company.
Quite how they thought they'd get away with dumping one customer and then appearing at the same address with another without anyone noticing is beyond me.
We are still mystified as to how such a 'reputable company' thinks that this is an appropriate way to behave, and bemused by their total inability to even take responsibility for their (lack) of action by actually talking to those that they let down.
