I have now used F Smith & Son twice having used them for a previous move and they were my first call when I was moving again. Their service is incredibly professional and I can't fault them. The service they provide from a detailed quote and house viewing to the move itself is exceptional and well worth the price. Would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Outstanding service from start to finish!
Moving a four-bedroom house was really daunting, but the team at F Smith & Son made the entire process seamless. From the very first day of carefully packing up our home, right through to moving the hot tub and pool table on the final day, everything was handled with professionalism, efficiency, and a smile. They turned what is usually a stressful, headache-inducing experience into an absolute breeze. Hopefully we won’t be moving again anytime soon—but if we ever do, F Smith & Son will be our first and only choice!

Fantastic service from start to finish. We were looking for movers that could also help pack for a short house completion. Steven, who came to assess for quote was knowledgeable and courteous. We knew if quote came in range with the 2 others we also contacted we would go with F. Smith & Son. On packing and moving day, John and team arrived on time, were efficient and also courteous. They asked questions when unsure and checked multiple times if everything was where we wanted. They took the time to properly take the table top off the base for safe transport to small things like taping the cabinet key to the back of the filing cabinet. We were fully prepared for last minute issues /extra charges and were so pleased everything was as contracted and very happy with results.

The team at F Smith and Son helped us move last weekend and we’d really recommend them.
All communications from initial enquiry, to video call to produce a quote, and any questions we had throughout the process were answered promptly.
The removal team arrived early, and worked so efficiently and carefully. The house was packed up really quickly and we were out ahead of schedule. Unloading was also a great experience with the team checking where we wanted things and ensuring we were happy with positioning of all furniture.
I’m pregnant and they made sure a chair and fan were last thing on to the van and first off at the new house which was so thoughtful.

We were moving from Thornton Heath to Derbyshire - a long way with 30 years of stuff to move! Steve was very helpful when he came to quote. We chose the Bronze package to save on money, so had packed and labelled a lot ourselves, but it was amazing how much there was to still pack. Bradley, Rhys and Jordan came the day before the move and worked non-stop to pack most of our belongings into the truck, filling one completely and carefully which it took a full day. It was stored overnight, safely in their facility. Since it was a long drive up, on the move day, Rhys and Bradley finished packing the essentials into another big van and by about 9:30am they set off. On arrival in Derbyshire, they worked tirelessly to unpack the essentials and half the lorry, returning the next day to finish off. There were only the two of them and we can’t believe how hard they worked. They remained positive and chirpy. We were very impressed with Brad and Rhys’ attitude and professionalism. The end to end service we received from F Smith and Son was stellar.
We submitted our query on a Sunday and received a friendly call from Jane the very next day. A video assessment was booked in for later that day.
The video assessment with Mike was thorough and professional, and we chose to use F Smith and Son on the strength of this and assurance we felt from him about the care and attention he said would be given by their moving staff. Follow up communication from Lorraine and payment was also dealt with promptly and smoothly.
On moving day itself, our team consisted of Jake and Ashley who were exceptional. They walked through our property, understood any awkward and delicate items and proceeded to work with the level of care that was promised. They were even able to load chest of drawers with belongings still in which saved us some time and effort during packing. Our belongings were properly protected in the van, and we haven't noticed any damage. They unloaded furniture and boxes to the correct rooms at the destination. Our move was only a few miles and from a flat, but all our belongings were unloaded by 1.30pm, leaving us the rest of the day to continue unpacking and enjoy our new home. They were courteous, diligent and efficient throughout and a credit to the company.
