Did not want to describe all the contents of my mums move on a website site so asked Ashley to come round and give us an accurate quote. He said it would all fit in a Luton Van. After I queried this I was told that in his opinion it would fit, but if not it would just be a couple of boxes short that would fit in the car.
Two wonderful guys turned up, Darren and Richard, they were very helpful and really tried to fit everything in, but no way was it going to fit and we had to leave at least a small transit van load behind. Thank goodness no one new was moving in. When I questioned Ashley as to why he got it so wrong, he told me that he had given an estimate, not a quote and that if he gave me a proper quote it would have doubled the price.
So if you actually want a quote for the entire job DO NOT USE DORKING REMOVALS AKA WARPSPEED REMOVALS. They will warn you off other firms saying that they will add on other charges when they come round and then Ashley will try and charge you an extra £200 just to complete the job.
My advice is to avoid this firm and pay the extra in the first place. It is such a shame that decent hard working people like Darren and Richard are being tarred with the same brush as Ashley.

RATHER THAN ADMIT THAT ASHLEY GOT THE INITIAL ESTIMATE WRONG, WHICH HE DID ON THE PHONE, HE HAS DECIDED TO LIE IN HIS RESPONSE. THE MAJORITY OF HIS RESPONSE IS FICTION AND YOU SHOULD NOT BELIEVEVE IT. AS WITH PEOPLE LIKE THIS THEY TRY BLAMING THE CUSTOMER RATHER THAN HOLDING THEIR HANDS UP TO GETTING IT WRONG IN THE FIRST PLACE.
AFTER I QUERRIED THE SIZE OF THE VAN I WAS TOLD THAT IF ASHLEY HAD GOT IT WRONG, IT WOULD MEAN THAT I MAY NEED TO TAKE A COUPLE OF BOXES IN MY CAR; I NEVER REQUESTED ANOTHER VAN, I WAS TOLD ON MY WAY HOME, AFTER THE REMOVAL VAN HAD LEFT, THAT IF I WANTED THE REST MOVED I WOULD NEED TO PAY ANOTHER £200.

Two happy-to-help, friendly guys turned up to move my stuff. All went well, but make sure you give an accurate description of how much you've got or the van might be too small. They ran out of room in the Luton they came with and I had to move 2 car loads myself.

I've moved house 3 times in the last 4 years and this was the first time I've had a firm as professional as Dorking removals. It was a delight to see my belongings treated with care and respect, the team were very helpful and are a credit to the firm, exceptional service and finally a removal firm I can highly recommend and use again in the future.

I've used Dorking removals & Storage many times for various things over the years. Fantastic crew, I wouldn't use anyone else! Definitely made moves, storing and disposing of thing so easy to deal with. Highly recommend!!

I have used this company about 4 times now (Yes ive moved alot😂) and every time i have used them i have never had any issues and the service has been top notch. The removal guys were amazing, very professional and helpful and knew what they were doing. Hopefully i dont move house again but if i do, would have no issues using them again! Thanks 👍🏼

Worst removal company I have ever used. My furniture was collected from a larger company's storage which to be honest I wish I had used to do the move despite being more expensive. There was total lack of professionalism and care taken to protect furniture. Some was left out in the pouring rain and only covered when requested. A large mattress was dropped, torn and made dirty. Other pieces were also damaged and chipped. The carpets in my house were not protected and were left filthy. The removers moaned the furniture was too heavy and were reluctant to move furniture in to the spaces requested without even trying; they only did so on my insistence. For repairs I was told I needed 3 quotes and then would have to pay a £250 excess; a policy to designed to make sure no one will bother. I have moved many times and this is the only time I couldn't wait for the movers to leave. I definitely won't be using them again.
