If I could give Broughton Removals more than 5* I would. They are a truly excellent removal firm with a personal touch and care and attention in abundance. I had a complicated move at the end of last year with my belongings all having to go into storage for 2 weeks with less than 24 hours notice. It was an incredibly stressful time, but having a friendly person at the end of the phone reassuring me and providing options for me despite the chaos was really appreciated. My piano was damaged while in storage (probably due to something pressing against it and a temperature drop that week that cracked the lacquer), but not only were Broughton's as gutted as I was that it had happened, but took every care to get it repaired and with regular progress updates. Unfortunately there are very few specialists that fix this in the UK, but Broughton's were happy to collect the damaged part, carefully package it up in a purpose built crate, ship it to be fixed and do the same in reverse to get it back to me. Even down to the care and attention of the collection of that part was appreciated. I have no doubt that if my move was able to happen as originally planned without going into storage that my piano would have been fine. I cannot fault their responses to any query and dealing with each eventuality highly enough. I would recommend them without a doubt.
They even helped out the charity I work for with a ramp for an event at the last minute when the one we had on order was stuck in transit. Delivered it and collected it, and did it out of the goodness of their hearts without a charge.

We moved with Broughton 3 weeks ago from Edinburgh to South Queensferry and can honestly say the service was excellent. Everything was well communicated and went smoothly. The packing service was first class and unobtrusive. Everyone we dealt with in the Broughton team was friendly and professional. Overall the move went fully to plan with no breakages or mishaps. Once we’d unpacked, packing boxes were collected promptly. Would highly recommend Broughton and definitely use them again if we move in the future.

Just moved with these guys, and they were fantastic. Packing service was speedy and effective and felt non-intrusive, movers kept to schedule even when there was a couple hickups, nothing they packed broke in the move and their box pickup service came the next day after I phoned to clear the place out of boxes once we'd packed. Would recommend to anyone.

This is the 4th time my family has used Broughton Removals and we simply wouldn’t go anywhere else!
Not only is their service friendly and approachable, it’s also family based, so they make you feel like you matter; from first contact through quote to delivery, they take absolutely everything in their stride and make the process so easy for you.
They had the contents of my parents house cleared and safely in their van in record time and then disaster struck, when the seller’s Solicitors actually lost the keys to their new house. It was a horrible, stressful experience for my elderly parents (and us) and the guys took it all in their stride, were reassuring and went away to help their colleagues, returning later, after the emergency locksmith had been, to move them in.
The whole day was a nightmare, to be honest, with the only bright spot being that the guys from Broughton Removals were so chilled and calm, insisting that they ‘see it all the time’ so that my parents didn’t feel any worse than they already did for keeping them late.
I’d recommend them to anyone! A truly 5 star service.Read more

Quite simply the best. Over the last 25 years we have moved 12 times. Broughton Removals have moved us twice, once within Edinburgh and just now from Edinburgh to outside London. Of all the movers we have used over the years, Broughton are the best by some distance. No damage to any of our belongings, nothing is too difficult for them and the movers were so polite, understanding and accommodating of any last minute changes. I could not recommend them more. If I am ever lucky enough to go back and live in Edinburgh I know who I will call to move me back north! Sincere thank you Broughton Removals.

Gold star service from Broughton Removals last month. Professional and friendly throughout and absolutely fantastic when our move was postponed at short notice - they gave us lots of options and took it all in their stride, which helped keep our stress levels down. All of their staff were professional and friendly throughout - from those in the office to those doing the physical work. We also found their prices to be highly competitive too.
