SCAM SCAM SCAM! Avoid at all costs!

If you are also a victim of Happy Transport Company and [Name removed by Sirelo], please email me at *****. There is a current police investigation going on and any additional information will help to bring Helena to justice sooner, and prevent less people being exploited by her horrible scheme.

To give you the quick version : she took our money, stopped answering us on all forms of communication, and no service was provided. There are 2 possible ways she will scam you, the first is like ours where she just steals your money, and the second is where she does provide a nightmarishly poor service. [Name removed by Sirelo] runs a shady operation that involves outsourcing the move to the cheapest cowboys she can find, while offering you incredibly poor and unprofessional communication.

The company is just one woman, and [Name removed by Sirelo] goes by many different aliases. She gave her name as [Name removed by Sirelo] to us, but I have seen other names mentioned on other reviews and her hate filled replies to these reviews. The company formerly went by Speedymoves, but she changes the name every few years to attempt to cover her tracks. You can read the many other reviews online of how poor the service is, but I will just give you our specific ordeal with her.

We originally booked to move from London to the south of France in 2022, but due to unrelated circumstances we had to postpone this move. At this point we already paid a “refundable” £50 deposit.

Fast forward to June 2023 when our final move was planned, we paid in full £1,500 to the company a few days prior. We did not receive a receipt or any kind of confirmation so this started to raise suspicion. [Name removed by Sirelo] went days without communicating back to us, we tried asking questions about our move day but she was very vague and never gave clear answers. It was only on the day before the move she finally confirmed the time the moving van would arrive.

Once we passed the allotted time and no van arrived, we attempted to contact [Name removed by Sirelo]. For 3 hours we sent her multiple texts, Emails and called her over 20 times. There was no response in any form. Each time we called it just went straight to voicemail, implying that she had blocked our number. Realizing that we had become the victim of a scam, we contacted the police, Action Fraud, and our bank.

As you can imagine the stress caused by this can not be expressed enough. We had a very tight schedule and had to be out of our rented property, and needed to be in France for other commitments. While also dealing with the relevant authorities, we also had to arrange a last minute alternative for our move. I do not know what compels an individual to put another person through this.

I have noticed that she occasionally replies to negative reviews on different platforms in a vague attempt to discredit them. So I have compiled my proof for all that is stated above, including screenshots of Emails, texts and a recording of a phone call with her. This is evidence of her lying to us. This is in the link at the bottom of this review.

And lastly, for you personally [Name removed by Sirelo], or whatever you call yourself, you are a vile, putrid and disgusting monster. To be able to sleep at night knowing that you intentionally go out of your way to cause so many innocent people undeserved stress for their hard earned money that you rob from them, you must be a pathetic excuse for a human, if I can even call you that. I bet you have never worked an honest day in your life, rat.

I can’t imagine anyone as soulless as yourself would ever experience happiness, so I take comfort in the fact that your life must be so miserable that it has turned you into the degenerate creature that you are.

May each day for the rest of your life bring you as much misery as your heart is black.

DO NOT BECOME ANOTHER VICTIM OF HAPPY TRANSPORT SERVICES (FORMERLY SPEEDY MOVES LTD)! The company is not registered with any recognised trades or industry association and its handlers are unskilled and untrained, resulting in untold loss and damage. It lures unwitting victims into thinking they have found a genuine low-cost alternative to relocating their goods. The company charges by weight, not volume, which it later invokes to levy a good deal more from unsuspecting customers than was originally quoted. While trading as Speedy Moves Ltd., the company was not only severely criticised for this and additional sharp business practices in numerous other product and service reviews, but reported as being engaged in criminal activity bordering on outright fraud in the international press https://euroweeklynews.com/2020/04/29/espionage-hits-the-removal-and-man-and-van-services-that-move-homes-goods-on-spains-costa-del-sol-costa-blanca/. The CEO of company, [Name removed by Sirelo] has no hesitation in making unsubstantiated money claims or, indeed, engaging an unscrupulous debt collection agency without legal justification, to harass those who seek redress as well as to defend themselves.Read more

If I could rate absolutely none, I would.

Me and my partner got quotes from multiple other removals companies, and 'Speedy Moves', since closed and rebranded as 'Happy Transport Services' offered a quote that was £1k cheaper than other quotes and could accommodate transport over a few days as we moved ourselves over. They sent us some inventory and customs forms, we filled them out, and we had what we thought was a contract. This didn't bring up any red flags so we agreed and paid the deposit for them.

FROM HERE ON IT WAS PURE HELL. THE SCAM IS DETAILED BELOW.

On the day of our expected pick up, they didn't turn up until 6 hours after the 'confirmed' arrival time. In between this when we contacted the company (our only contact being a woman, who turns out to be the 'CEO' of the entire company), who tried several times to gaslight us. 'Are you sure your pickup is today?....' 'we don't have any documentation for this, was it the 19th instead of the 16th?' etc etc. We had the documents to prove all of this and every two hours delay we were told the drivers were delayed by another 2 hours until their eventual arrival.

The team who arrived weren't who we expected. We contracted for one driver in a 3.5T Luton van and we'd move our stuff ourselves, but 2 men arrived with a Luton and a trailer which we didn't use. They spoke very little English but were otherwise civil. We found out then upon signing a form confirming pickup that these men were actually contracted out, as they were a Bulgarian removals company based in Sofia.

Later as we were getting ourselves over to Vienna, we were contacted by the 'CEO' and told our moving van was 800kg overweight, and that it would cost us another £1500 to transport! At this point we were stuck over a barrel, as they had our stuff, presumably near Customs in the UK, whilst we were already in Europe with nowhere in the UK to return to. We are both students so an almost total doubling of the price was beyond our finances, and we sought help from family. At this 'extra cost' stage we were also being gaslit by the 'CEO' for our first payment, as she had no record of it in her system. We again had all the documents to prove this, and begrudgingly paid the extra £1500.

We had initially planned to arrive a day before our removals company would arrive at our new place, but on the day of their expected arrival, they failed to turn up. When we called the Bulgarian moving company, they hung up on us. For hours we tried to contact the 'CEO' and she told us they would only be able to arrive the next day.

When the van with our stuff DID arrive, it was in another van with another driver, another Bulgarian but this time very friendly and spoke English. He explained to us the details he was provided by the 'CEO' and we learned that this company just entirely contracts out their removals, overcharges for them, and we take the hit. When we explained our contract and overweight cargo issue, he seemed surprised as our final cost of £3.5k seemed reasonable, if a little high, for the volume and weight we transported. Obviously us not being removal experts, we chose them initially for the cheapest quote of £1.5k, and ended up paying far more in 'surprise' costs than if we'd taken a more professional and upfront company.

The scam works by offering well-below weight estimations for volumes, i.e. '500kg/10 metres cubed, or pay a bit more for 1000kg across 20 metres cubed'. You assume the company is offering reasonable weights for these relative volumes, so you don't question it. It's surprising enough as it is that they even have a weight limit since most other removal move by the volume, not the weight. We didn't realise this, and had we taken a different professional company, we would have saved around £1.5k and had our stuff treated with respect.

Yes, this nightmare didn't end there. A lot of our furniture ended up scratched and dented, and a plastic box had been smashed in the most spectacular fashion, with the contents inside covered in mudsplashes. Almost as if the moving men (as at this point it's now unknown how many companies and trucks our stuff had actually been handled by expect for the 2 we saw) had literally thrown it our of the van into the ground, then hurriedly shoved it all back in and hidden it around some other boxes for our final removal man to find. He was very apologetic and understanding, but it wasn't him who needed to apologise.

SPEEDYMOVES IS A SCAM COMPANY. On confirming the name of the company, I learned that they have since been wound up, and now the 'CEO' lady is in ownership of a completely new transport company, 'HAPPY TRANSPORT SERVICES'. Avoid them both, and avoid any company operated by that CEO. This information can be found publically on the UK government Company House website,, linked here for your protection and safety (https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/officers/OhL-0ViwJe6fIeaeq-i7h00LqyY/appointments)

For the love of all Gods, do not take this company or any related to this individual. The UK does NOT certify removals companies, so we have no recourse to complain or get a refund but here. THE CHEAP QUOTES ARE A LIE TO SUCK YOU IN AND THEN DRAIN YOU OF YOUR MONEY AND YOUR PATIENCE.

Avoid to all cost, big scam one person company. [name removed by Sirelo] is a complete liar. They did not show up on time for both pick up and delivery. they sent a huge truck instead of a Luton van as promised. they over charged us because they showed some bogus weight tickets. In storage our furniture was completely damaged and they lost many of our items and we got some that were not ours. Delivery was supposed to be in morning but ended up being at 9 pm ! With a driver that was asked last minute to drive the truck. We had to pay him extra to help carry the stuff.
They say it is a family business but clearly it is not and they just outsource the work last minute.
I wish I am able to sue them somehow.

Scam company, they said our van was over weight but never provided evidence of that and charged extra £380. Then loads of items were damaged on arrival. Sent pictures and never heard back, even if in theory the load was supposed to be insured. They had said delivery would have been in a few days, but they were ignorant about the whole process and it ended up taking them 10 days to deliver our stuff. We were left with only a small bag for our baby for all those days. After we paid our deposit, they somehow saved our card details and authorized what they considered to be the balance themselves without our authorization! Stay away, these people are unprofessional movers but professional scammers!
