We have no hesitation in recommending Johnsons. Used them twice for a big move from London to Dorset and then a smaller one within Dorset. Both went without a hitch. Personal service, reliable, friendly guys and reasonably priced.

Johnsons were incredibly helpful when we moved house in December 2024. During a difficult period when exchange of contracts was delayed again and again, they explored all options to enable our solicitors to agree a good completion date. And when it came to loading & unloading our possessions the crew were very accommodating and very respectful of how we wanted the move to proceed. We are so pleased that we chose Johnsons.

What a fantastic service.
They told us they were expensive but good and they weren't lying.
They were very helpful over the phone and tried hard to accommodate our 5 day move from Dorset to Newcastle.
On day 1 a van and 3 people arrived to start packing. We were concerned that 3 wouldn't be enough to allow an early finish on day 2 but were delighted when 3 more men arrived from elsewhere. We were left with a comfortable night and 6 more arrived on Day 2 and were finished by about 11am. This let us drive North in good time.
On day 3 Mark and Brad set off in the early hours and arrived at our new house at about 11. They were very quick to unload the necessities and very helpful in placing the furniture etc. where we wanted it. They spent the night in their van on the drive and finished unpacking in mid morning when they were joined by Martin in van number 2 after he'd had an early start from Dorset. The 3 of them finished unloading and set off back to the south although had to stop near Darlington before getting home on Day 5.
All of the staff were great and relieved a lot of the stress involved in moving. Packing was good and there were no breakages.
We couldn't ask for anymore.

Fantastic service from start to finish. Paul provided a quote quickly and altered it to suit. Mark and the packing/moving team were friendly, professional and efficient. They made sure we were happy with the location of our furniture etc before leaving.

From the initial review of all the goods to be moved through to us shutting the doors on our previous home, the service that the whole team provided was excellent. Staff were thorough, polite and attentive, making sure all items were placed in areas where they were intended - enabling access where potential log-jams could have happened. Using smaller trucks over 2 days enabled the whole process to be less stressful for us as well as those using the same minor roads! Great job.

A team of 4 arrived full of smiles. Carried out the enormous task of putting my house back together after 2 years in storage. Total respect for the property and its content, putting everything back in it right place. They worked quickly and with good humour. Would 100% recommend
