Wayne was initially (post taking my money) very professional, responsive and clear about the services his team offered.
We have had bad experiences in the past and after meeting Wayne in our home he reassured us that all of our furniture would be taken care of, he provided us with a brochure of his services and we agreed to the job with L&K removals. We were very impressed and happy to go ahead.
On the morning of the job 2 gentleman turned up in a white Luton van with no signage. The one gentleman couldn’t speak any English but the driver did and both were very nice and friendly.
The job seemed to be going well, however despite us paying for 5 hours, they made us aware they had another job straight after. This wasn’t an issue as long as the job was done properly, however at the unloading end they were clearly rushing and exhausted! I felt sorry for them.
Fast forward 3 days after removal. I contacted Wayne directly the owner of L&K to make him aware that multiple items had been scratched and damaged and that an expensive tv bed was no longer working.
Wayne ignored my messages and refused to take my calls. He got the poor driver who was probably paid peanuts for the job to call me.
When I eventually spoke to Wayne, he was rude, unprofessional and couldn’t have cared less about the damage to our furniture. He said yes I’ve seen the tiny scratches!!
He refused to take liability and said yes I told you I was outsourcing the job. He did not tell us this at all. We paid L&K removals, were given an L&K brochure and signed the L&K form. That means my contract is with him and his company (L&K) and any liability sits with him.
Wayne advised that I should have taken photos and videos of every single item that was being moved as it’s basically my word against there’s. Shocking !
I am very disappointed Wayne. You have the makings of a great firm but treating customers like this will get you nowhere.
Do the right thing, if you have insurance, put
the insurance claim through for our furniture..

You didn’t advise us at any time that another company would be doing the job.
You didn’t advise us to take photos of all of our furniture prior to the move as evidence of its condition and who the help has time to do this before moving house ?
You didn’t advise us to take videos of furniture like our tv bed to prove it worked prior to the move.
When you first visited our house you seemed professional but I would urge anyone looking for a removal firm to avoid this company.
Our experience has been shocking!Read more
