This company showed complete disregard for the general public by blocking the pavement for several hours. I passed by three times during the day and on two occasions there was no one near the van and on the third the staff saw me struggling with my pram and ignored me. We live in an area with lots of flats so there are often moving vans but I have never seen them block the pavement like this before.

This is the second time that we have used Stephens Removals for a house move, the last being in 2012. They impressed me then, and so we approached them again for this move.
The move was from a 5-bed house to a 3-bed flat, including an art collection which required specialist packing. From the initial visit to make a quotation, to the conclusion of the delivery to the flat, the team was professional, personable, and very hard-working.
Three of them packed for 9 hours the first day, then four of them finished packing and loading, and delivered our possessions to the second-floor flat on the second day when they worked pretty much non-stop for 11 hours. Not one item was damaged or lost.
I cannot recommend Stephens highly enough - all employees, both the removers and office staff are highly impressive, dependable, and conscientious. Thank you all! Robin

Amazing service from the whole Stephens' team, I would give ten stars if I could! We had a really complicated and fiddly move, with a huge houseful of stuff going to multiple locations. I got three quotes, Stephens came in the cheapest, and I doubt any company would have done a better job. Tracy in admin was super helpful, and the removals guys themselves were beyond amazing, especially team leader Liam. We were very stressed and behind with packing, but he was very calm, helpful and good humoured and kept a very positive spirit with his crew. Altogether exceptional service. Can't recommend highly enough.

Based upon my experience I would avoid at all costs. Appalling customer service. We spent £8,741 with Stephens Removals and they damaged a desk with a value of £150. The desk was delivered into an outbuilding and untouched since the day of our move. When we went to move the desk we noticed it was damaged. So I contacted Stephen Removals for compensation. Rather than compensate us they accused us of lying and said they were unable to confirm they had caused the damage. We were prepared to sign sworn affidavits to verify no one had moved or even touched the desk since it was delivered by Stephens Removals. For me this is a point of principal and about doing the right thing. £150 out of a spend of £8,741 is not material and having lost my wife to cancer I would happily have donated the £150 to the hospice that cared for her. Stephen Removals were 100% adamant that they wished to retain all of my money for themselves and denied they caused the damage. After VAT and corporation tax relief the cost to Stephens Removals would have been £93.75. Additionally, when I initially signed the contract with Stephens Removals I did not select the insurance option as I thought it probably would not pay out. I was virtually press ganged into taking out the insurance at a cost £517 against my judgment. My judgement was correct, the insurance did not pay out for the damage, nor did Stephens Removals. Damage was also caused to an expensive wardrobe and the door was refitted incorrectly. My dealings with Stephens Removals suggest that retaining all of your money is paramount once they have received it. Perhaps they rely on the fact that their service is not really a repeat purchase so don’t care whether or not you use them again? I left this review on another review website and the company tried unsuccessfully to get it removed by alleging I had written illegal or harmful content. Initially the review was removed but after it was independently reviewed by the review website’s content integrity team and found to be in order it was reinstated. I will leave you to decide what this and the way I was treated indicates about the company’s integrity.Read more

Stephen’s removals moved us to our new home yesterday and what an amazing job they did, well above and beyond, under difficult circumstances!!
The lads came the day before the move, to get as much loaded as possible. Liam was so professional, considerate, and really gave extra care to anything we were worried about. Mason, as well as packing, helped us with many things that were too high or too heavy, at 6ft++, he made everything look so easy and saved us a lot of concern. Ben
joined then on the move day and slotted in so well, all three were lovely people, and the move went so well. Thank you guys, and Stephens 👏👏👏

So Stephen’s Removals finally finished moving us in today.
The guys were awesome. We had to move out 2 weeks ago, two lorry loads going into storage and then re delivered over 2 days as we were moving over 2 hours away.
Well what can I say, Faultless. Came on time every day we had booked, managed to rearrange a moving in day earlier than planned, arrived on time, friendly staff throughout and made sure everything was put we we wanted it. Giving us a totally stress free move. Would defiantly recommend them. 5 star rating from us. Thanks again Stephen’s Removals
