We used Chandlers to relocate from our 4-bedroom house in Maidenhead over to Cambridge, where we were renting a furnished place, so all our items needed to go into storage there.
We had several changes of completion date, so were not able to book the move date until quite late. Chandlers were also being used by our buyers, and they managed somehow to fit us in, as we were able to be flexible with our move out date. Although we chose to pack our own items ( as we were taking the opportunity to declutter as we packed) they still dropped off all the packing materials (boxes, paper, tape, bubble-wrap) that we needed, with no extra charge for this.
On the morning of the move, Fred, Alan and Dean carefully but very speedily packed all our possessions into their very large van. They made it look so easy, and we were able to relax. They also put down protection on the new carpets, we’d had fitted, so the place looked very clean when they’d finished.
The next day, Peter and Callum drove the van over to Cambridge, dropping off some items at our daughter’s house there, with the rest being taken to the storage unit. We had managed to get rid of some larger items before the move, (via charity shops and facebook marketplace!) because several firms who quoted us, including Chandlers, had said we had too much for one 20’ storage container, so we’d booked a 10’ container as well.
We were very impressed by the way that they expertly planned the unloading into the larger storage unit, protecting surfaces when stacking items, and packing it in as efficiently as possible. In fact, Peter was very determined to see if we could avoid needing the smaller unit, and, miraculously, they managed to get all, but a couple of items, into the larger unit. It meant we could pop those couple of remaining items into our daughter’s already very full garage, and dispense with the smaller unit, which will save over £500 during the projected 6 month’s stay.
Chandlers is a long-established family firm, and we had previously used them to move into our Maidenhead house over 33 years ago, when we had also found them very helpful, friendly and efficient.

Everyone recommends Chandlers and rightly so. We’ve used them several times, most recently for packing, removal to storage, and out again to a new place a few months later. Dean was great at playing Tetris with his diary to squeeze us in. The packing was great - nothing broken and a luxury not to have to do it ourselves. The move day was quick and efficient and they really went above and beyond. Thanks guys. 🚚📦

I can’t praise Chandlers too highly. Dean was so helpful getting me vans, when because of the stamp duty relief deadline, they were difficult to get. Alan and his team, Lee, Peter and Callum were marvellous, doing more than their job description. Nothing was too much trouble. They moved me from two three story houses to an apartment on the third floor. Even the yearly lift maintenance day coinciding with the move in day, and a blow out on the M25 phased them. Friendly, helpful, hard working and professional. I have finally opened all boxes and nothing lost or broken. Excellent company.

Chandlers provided a excellent service from start to finish - they have a polite and friendly team, most importantly social distancing measures were maintained throughout.
Communication was excellent and all staff were supportive and consistent in providing a straightforward professional service. The pricing structure was fair and transparent.
I thoroughly recommend Chandlers and I have already booked them for two more services.

Absolutely fantastic! Chandlers got us moved c. 6 weeks ago - and what a team they are. Friendly, considerate, flexible, caring and fast! The whole experience from start to finish left us feeling well and truly looked after, with the stress of the physical move element completely removed. We are extremely grateful and hats off to you all.
