Was told by a piano dealer that G & R have my piano and will be delivering it but piano was never delivered. G & R were no help and simply said they did not have the piano and I have named them in a scam investigation. Would not recommend.

G&R provided one of the most frustrating customer service experiences of my life. The office staff couldn't have been less interested in explaining the procedures and paperwork involved in my move (e.g., I was unexpectedly sent a power of attorney document with no explanation beyond 'It might be helpful if you fill this out'); this caused enormous -- and completely avoidable -- complications and stress. Staff disassembled my piano with inadequate tools, resulting in damage to the instrument that the office never admitted, despite photographic evidence. After being flat-out lied to by the general manager and told that my move would take a matter of days, administrative incompetence led to a three-month delay. Insurance paperwork was withheld, ostensibly to conceal a 270% (!) administrative surcharge on an extra service.
Shockingly unprofessional and irresponsible. G&R is widely used by the piano showrooms in southern England, and probably doesn't give a damn about individual, one-off moves. Celebrate the free market and take your custom somewhere else.Read more
