What is your insurance policy? How do you deal with damaged items?
We include our comprehensive Standard Liability with all our UK moves, up to £50,000.
Our offer the same excellent protection should you need to use our Storage service.
We use a specialist insurance broker who have their own experienced in house loss adjusters, trained to deal with any claims swiftly.
What is the best advice you would give to customers?
Check if your chosen mover accepts reasonability for any damages caused by their staff, if they offer insurance or enhanced Liability terms separately, make sure you add it to cost of their quote!
Use good quality, double walled card boxes for packing, avoid plastic crates which can dent or scratch your furniture.

After researching a few removal companies we finally choose Dibbens. This was based on their prices and good communication through to the actual removal day. The two guys arrived early Friday morning and considering the warm weather they worked incredibly hard with some lighthearted banter inbetween. On arrival at our new home we were joined by another 2 men and the four of them again worked incredibly hard. On the evening we set up our 65 inch sky glass tv (less than 12 months old) only to find the screen had been damaged beyond repair during transit. We informed Dibbens first thing the following Monday, we followed all of their advice including sending in pictures, completing a claim form and having the tv inspected. We found out that Dibbens had changed insurers on the 01.06.25 (we moved on the 29.05.25) After 4 weeks the previous insurers offered us £40 and basically dismissed our claim. My husband then contacted Dibbens direct and has spent the last week or so communicating frequently with one of the senior partners to obtain a more realistic offer to cover the cost of renewing the tv. After 5 weeks we finally received a more accetable offer as Dibbens initially tried to blame us for damaging our own tv. What started off as a positive experince has now left us very disappointed, Dibbens could have took a more responsible and professional approach to this matter. We paid and trusted this professional company to move our items in a safe and secure way - this did not happen. It has took 5 long weeks for Dibbens to finally compensate us accordingly. Therefore we are unable to promote Dibbens and would advise people to think very carefully before booking them.Read more

5th house move using Dibbens, very helpful and accommodating at short notice. Excellent communication, crew arrived on time both days and were most helpful reducing the obvious stress of moving. Will definitely be our first choice next time!

We used Dibbens for my mothers house move from The Island to Addlestone in Surrey and they were fantastic throughout the whole process. Extremely patient and understanding when we had to reschedule several times, nothing was too much trouble.
The removals team themselves were cheerful, accommodating, very hard working and the moving process went without a hitch.
Would recommend their services without hesitation.

Moving from the Isle of Wight onto the mainland in two days worked our perfectly for us. Arrived on time and a team of 4 helped the move run efficiently. Again arrive on time the following day with a team of two who moved us into our new home efficiently. Highly recommended.
