Had a seamless and stress free move today with Spire removals, Ross and the team were extremely helpful with the whole process and made us feel at ease throughout. Highly recommend!

We had a 3-day booking for house-to-house removals; Day 1 was for collection only of garage and garden items, Day 2 for house contents, collection and delivery, and Day 3 was for delivery only of the garage and garden items. If, on Day 1, the team tells you they're ahead of schedule and can start on the house items a day earlier, DO NOT AGREE TO THIS! Regrettably I did, as it helped them being freed up an extra day, and it saved us having an early delivery on Day 3. However, household items were loaded onto the same van already containing the garage and garden items and were first off the van at the new house. We moved mid-December, the weather was extremely cold and we were busy getting the house straight for family staying for Christmas. It was not until 2 months later, with milder weather, that we made a start going through the contents in the garage, which was very full and stacked high. To our absolute dismay, we kept finding crates and boxes of fragile ornaments, glassware and crockery buried beneath heavy garage and garden items. Many, many items now damaged and broken, some very old and irreplaceable, that I had carefully packaged in bubblewrap and kept altogether at the old house, and told the team were very fragile. Boxes and furniture that I had meticulously, clearly labelled to go in rooms inside the house, had also been left in the garage! A 42' smart TV was in the house but had a long scratch across the screen, and a mirrored bedside table had been chipped from a heavy weight being put on top. I was aware it was way beyond Spire Removals' short 7 days' deadline to make a claim for damages but decided to email them anyway, to let them know the facts and what had happened as, in our opinion, the damage could have been avoided if they had kept to the original 3-days schedule, as per the booking, as household items would not have been mixed with garage and garden items, unloaded first off the van, then lawnmowers and other heavy garage/garden items stacked on top of them! All the household items would have been delivered safely, inside the house and none of them would be in the garage. However, instead of the expected apology and thanks for bringing it to their attention, I received an extremely rude, insulting, critical and angry reply from Ross, ridiculously accusing my husband and I of moving the boxes from the correct rooms, to the garage and causing the damage ourselves, saying that we should have used their own packaging service (even though they packaged the TVs and mirrored glass furniture themselves, that were now damaged!), blaming the damage on the 'poor state of the packaging' (when I had used loads of bubblewrap), bizarrely claiming I had instructed the team not to put any of my labelled boxes for the Dining Room in there, as the reason they left them in the garage, and that we were being 'tight' by reusing the cardboard boxes they supply, instead of buying new ones! Absolutely appalling 'service', treatment of our property, unprofessional, discourteous, rude and apathetic response from the manager of this company who takes no responsibility for their actions, couldn't care less and blames clients for moving boxes to the wrong place and causing the damage themselves!

IN REPLY TO THEIR RESPONSE - I'm glad they've finally responded to my Review after four months as you can all now see how nasty, insulting and aggressive this company is when things go wrong!
I had written to let them know what had happened with our move in the hopes it would avoid a repeat to other customers. I explained the delay in contacting was due to the weather being too cold to even go in the garage let alone sort through boxes, until May, and was never to make a claim (they only provide a few days to do that!) I received a nasty, aggressive, sarcastic reply full of untruths and insults, very similar to their response here.
Stay away from this nasty company who could not care less when things go wrong and falsely accuse you of being ‘threatening’, ‘fraudulent’ and a blackmailer just for letting them know!

A massive thank you to all at Spire but especially Luke and Gino. They moved me over 120 miles through the most horrendous traffic, road closures, diversions, you name it, we had it! They loaded up really quickly, were incredibly diligent, careful and respectful. Nothing was too much trouble and both were still smiling after the journey!! Moving can be a really difficult and stressful time, Spire understand this and I cannot recommend them highly enough. This is the second time that I have used their services and I would have no hesitation in using them again. The quality of service is beyond reproach, a thoroughly professional company setting high standards and maintaining them.

Spire Removals provided us with a truly 5 star experience. The team worked hard in sweltering temps and took great care of all our possessions..there were no breakages and nothing missing. The team in the office were great too - providing reassurance and confidence that everything would go to plan, which it did! Very competitive pricing was most welcome.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you, to the team you sent on Tuesday to pack up my parents house, they had 80% of the house packed within 5 hours! and the team on Thursday, just over 2 hours to unpack the whole house!!
They were all amazing, kind, friendly and so hard working. Everyone just worked together so well.
Everything went so smoothly because of them.
Nothing was too much, we got confused with the beds and we said we would change them around ourselves but they were all quick enough to move everything around and put the beds back together.
An amazing service, great people and we would 100% use again - which we don’t plan to because they won’t be moving :)
