Recently completed move from Richmond to Bristol via short period in storage. Received exceptional service from the entire Rumseys team. Based on local reputation and recommendation, my expectations were favourable - they were exceeded! The quotation, competitive and in line with expectations, proved to be excellent value. This business demonstrates an impressive service culture, both commitment and delivery.

We used Rumesy and Son to move a short distance to a new home in London. Stuart and Peter in the office were very helpful in keeping us updated on availability while we agreed completion dates. On the day of the move the packing team were very efficient and had our flat empty and safely packed within a matter of hours. They patiently waited until we were able to collect the keys to our new home (which took a little longer than anticipated). We are so glad we took the full moving service (including packing) which took all the pressure off us on moving day making the process as stress free as possible. Thanks again for all your help.

I found Rumsey & Son to be friendly and professional from the first telephone call enquiring about packing, storage and then removal. A personal visit clarified everything and I felt very safe that my belongings and the whole process was in safe hands. I would highly recommend Rumsey & Son.

We had a long distance move out of London. Rumsey's was recommended by neighbours and we were delighted with the service.
We have a large house but packing was done in a day and a half - they brought in extra team members to get it done quickly. Everything was packed with great care and we had no breakages or damage. The team were particularly careful with pictures and televisions.
Overall the team were polite and incredibly helpful even when we had a delay to getting into our new house. They worked so hard even on one of the hottest days of the year.
I would happily recommend Rumsey's as they were high quality, very price competitive (I got 4 quotes), the team were a delight to work with and our belongings were all handled with great care. We were very grateful to have such a nice team which de-stressed what could have been a very stressful day.

Rumsey removals moved us from Ashford Middx to the south coast. Couldn’t have been better. Everything nicely packed no breakages, the team were helpful and polite. Not the cheapest but probably the best. You get what you pay for. Thanks all. L& P.

Stressful move, broken items and damaged furniture. We moved less than 2 miles away whilst I was 8 months pregnant and did not have a great experience. The team were very quick to pack our things but did not wrap any of our furniture or white goods, the majority of these ended up with scuffs, breaks and dents in them.
One person in particular was quite surly at times, and were complaining about the two days booked in for our 'small house' soon after they arrived, and rushed through the job. I saw one packer literally emptying a drawer into a box.
Like another poster, they lost an entire box of our belongings. In this case it was all our mugs and glassware, some of which we had a long time and were irreplaceable. Rather than enjoy the new house, I ended up having to spend time sorting out claims for all of these items, and the damages to our other belongings, which was less than ideal. We were compensated for our losses and the damage but again, we would much rather have avoided that.
Up until the packing everything had gone relatively smoothly, some of the team packed things very well and carefully as was obvious when unpacking, others were very moody and careless with our things and seemed in a great rush to finish the job.
With a bit more consideration and time to wrap certain items of furniture would have prevented a lot of the damage to our furniture and white goods. I would not recommend or use them again, and would tell anyone I know to avoid them.Read more
