18Despite paying £2,000 for the removal, the whole job felt rushed and careless. For context, we had been renting a storage unit with this company for seven years. We fell into arrears during Covid while living in Canada, but when we returned, we spoke with Ian, paid over £2,500 toward the balance, and agreed on a £2,000 fee for the move from Tenterden to Exeter.
I want to be clear: this review is about the removal service only, not the storage situation—though I’m aware Ian may try to bring that into his response. Judge for yourself.
The team couldn’t have been more unprofessional. They arrived at 9:30am but had to leave mid-afternoon to get back for the evening, leaving just 3–4 hours to complete a four-bedroom house removal. Their contract states that items will be reassembled and put back as they were, but nothing could be further from the truth.
Our belongings were thrown into rooms. Beds weren’t reassembled. Wardrobes were left in pieces. Even the sofa cushions weren’t put back on. Furniture was piled in the centre of each room with no care at all. To make matters worse, the sofa covers were completely ruined by water damage—so much for “airtight” storage—and it cost hundreds of pounds to fix.
Honestly, avoid this company for removals. The service was horrendous and showed zero care. I fully expect Ian to respond by blaming my review on the previous debt situation, but that has nothing to do with the quality of the removal service—which we paid for in full.Read more
