Perhaps you could educate your drivers not to block exits and leave the vans parked on double yellows making it dangerous for other vehicles to pull out of junctions .

Today the guys from Simon Long unloaded our inbound UK shipping and delivered to our Property in timely manner and worked hard and tidy doing most of the unpacking - highly recommended.

Wow! From the very first contact, to the survey & quote (thank you Don) to the actual move, we couldn't be more impressed. The whole team were fantastic. The process for booking and paying was seamless (thank you Katie) and what could have been a very stressful time for us was made so easy by the team at Simon Long. I collected boxes to pack ourselves, the warehouse was neat & tidy, and the chap working there couldn't be more helpful lifting them into my car.
On the moving day itself, a team of 6 smart uniformed lads arrived on time and introduced themselves with a handshake and a smile before explaining what to expect and answering any questions. The speed at which these guys work is astonishing, super efficient and handled everything with care including protecting our carpets and packing the lorries carefully. Good humour all round too, had a few laughs through the day. Thanks Tom, Rob, and all the team for working so hard for us.
Unloading at the other end was a breeze and took just over two hours which is amazing. They were thoughtful and courteous about parking and nothing was too much trouble.
I can't thank you all enough. The quote was the most competitive by far and I worried that this may be reflected in the service, but I needn't have stressed. I can't imagine paying more for a service better than this. 5 stars all round. Thank you so much.
Tips for movers...
It's been 12 years since we last moved so we weren't sure what to expect but here's some notes for anyone booking and a reminder for me for next time.
1. If you're packing yourself, then label EVERYTHING really clearly. The lorries weren't loaded by room (to balance everything safely) so you'll need good labels. I found a free downloadable set online.
2. Lable ALL the furniture too, it will save the lads asking you where stuff needs to go at the other end.
3. Label your new rooms on arrival. i.e. Bed 1, Bed 2, etc. It'll make life easier bringing boxes in.
4. Leave a kettle and few mugs out for teas/coffees, the chaps will definitely earn a brew. Not that they stopped work much, these guys worked solidly.

SHOCKING customer service!! I called the office to discuss options to retrieve some of our belongings from the storage (after 22 months paying the company) and the removals administrator Hollie was extremely rude, patronising and unprofessional. In a very exacerbated way, she didn’t allow me to explain the full purpose of my call, talking on top of me and elevating the tone of her voice to finally put the phone down on me!
She decided on behalf of our insurance that the retrieval won’t be authorised and it’s a service they won’t provide to us. WHAT?!?!?!
I experienced a similar situation when I contacted this company the first time to understand the retrieval process. The person who answered the phone didn’t explain anything, ignored my request and finished the call abruptly. These employees needs some customer service training urgently or leave their jobs!

I can’t recommend Simon Long Removals highly enough. From my first contact for a quote to removal, storage and finally delivery of my possessions the whole team at Simon Long were fantastic. Quote was extremely competitive (almost £1000 cheaper than others in some cases - this was for a move to Scotland from Gloucester). The removals men turned up early and were done within 3 hours. My partner took delivery in Scotland and said the men were friendly and helpful. Again, they turned up on time, called my partner when they were an hour away to allow him time to leave work and get to the house. They were there maybe 2-2.5 hours. All our possessions were packed extremely well with no breakages or damage to anything. Thank you for a wonderful service.
