I enquired with AH for storage in between moving house. I was contacted more or less immediately (30 mins) after submitting an online enquiry. I arranged a time to view the storage units twice, to which AH did not turn up to either of them. When I finally got into view the units, Mark was very polite and informative, although there were a lot of units unlocked as we were looking around. Each unit that was opened came with an odd/concerning reaction...'Oh, not sure what that is,' or 'Dont know why that's unlocked', or 'Yes I know what that is.' I was shown the inside of around 5 units and 3 or 4 of them had belongings in them with no locks on the door. Not sure who's responsible for that but it was concerning.
About a week after my visit, I messaged Mark to get a reminder of the prices and inform him of my house exchange date.
I received no reply until I informed him (72 hours later) that I had found other storage.

I will not use AH Storage again.
I used the collect & store service as my belongings required collecting & storing for a month respite in-between houses.
My furniture and belongings were collected and stored in 3 units, this included x2 large TVs for which I took responsibility as it wasn’t something they normally handled.
I also agreed to help them move someone’s piano a day later just to show appreciation for responding to my call at short notice.
One month later my belongings were due to be returned.
I noticed in one of the storage units that one of my TVs had cosmetic damaged consistent with it falling over or something falling on it. I was puzzled but hoped it was only cosmetic caused in the collection part of their service.
I thought little of the damage until they showed reluctance to handle the TVs when returning them despite there being no reluctance to handle them when collecting 🤔.
Furthermore, during delivery it was mentioned more than once that nothing had been damaged even handing me a lamp asking me to be extra careful as they didn’t want any breakages 🤔. However, my suspicions were heightened even more when their driver was asked to request payment before they would be allowed to unload my belongings for which I refused, this caused a stir as I could sense their was a motive to their request.
I agreed to pay in full once we had unloaded the van which I did.
Job done.
Later that day I powered up the TV and noticed the cracks running through the screen consistent with the damaged areas.
My gripe wasn’t the fact that my 3 units were left unattended & unlocked for a few days, nor was it just because my TV has been damaged beyond repair.
The choice in trusting our personal belongings with AH Storage was tainted by a lack of care, suspicious comments and a sour conclusion which was tainted further by a reluctance to answer calls.Read more

We found out about AH Storage by using Matt and his team for our house move, it wasn't an easy move and we had to store things that had been damaged by a previous removals company.
Matt and his team took the stuff away, stored it for next to nothing and have kept in contact ever since. Our stuff is now safe and dry :)
