1) I have location proof from my son's phone that it only took 1.5 hrs. You arrived at 11am and returned at 12:36pm.
2) We discussed the double yellow lines outside when booking and I directed you to the parking 350ft away so you could park there whilst you helped get the furniture down and then my son would wait with his goods outside whilst you collected your van to load. Traffic wardens are well aware of the situation with loading outside and as long as vehicles aren't left for extended periods, they are happy to accommodate.
3) You were specifically booked to help move the furniture - do you deny never having done this? Do you deny leaving him to struggle bringing chests of drawers downstairs himself?
4) Helping to load his belongings into the storage unit is part of what you were paid to do. Listing this as if it is justification for what you didn't do is ludicrous.
There is absolutely no fabrication in my review - I have no reason to speak anything but the truth. You have charged an extraordinary amount, by anyone's standards, to be little more than a taxi service. I am very pleased to hear my son was polite and grateful, but that is no reason to ignore or get out of assisting in the very things you were employed to do. You would do better to apologise than attempt to justify a poor and overpriced service.Read more
