346I have had a nightmare using Mybaggage.com to ship a suitcase of personal items (clothing, personal papers, beard trimmer, coffee grinder and so on) from Florida to the Philippines. I have seen ads for this service on social media so I decided to give them a try. I am relocating on December 9. The price was high however I was willing to pay the price to avoid lugging a 30 kilo case through airports.
I packed the shipment. I made the order on the Mybaggage.com website. I completed the customs forms. I paid the fees. I printed the lables. The following day Federal Express picked up my suitcase.
No word from anyone until four days or so later I received an email from a Fed Ex bot that the customs forms were incomplete. I went on their website and gave additional information. Federal Express had classified my shipment as commercial and they kept wanting the commercial invoice, bilol of lading, vendor etc. I tried to explain it was non-commercial to no avail.
The first two times this happened was irritating. The next three were infuriating. Fed Ex Philippines texted my fiance twice at the number in the order for this information. Seven times I count as this information was requested which had been provided in the initial order.
I called Mybaggage.com support and explained the situation. The agent [Name removed by Sirelo] emailed me that the shipment had been released for delivery within 48 hours.
I checked on Wednesday on Fed Ex's site and the status had 'return to shipper delivery refused'. I of course got on the telephone with [Name removed by Sirelo] at Mybaggage.com and expressed my frustration. He maintained that the telephone number was not working and that the delivery had been refuesed. No delivery was attempted. I know have an invoice for addiitonal processing fees and customs duty over $ 200!
Mybaggage.com customer service is rude, unhelpful and not accepting responsibility. They pass off issues as having to do with their partners (Fed Ex and unanamed thrid party shippers) when in fact I contracted with Mybaggage.com.
