I sent 2 bags from HK to the UK. I took the measurements they needed and inputted them into their calculator.
I have since received bills for BOTH bags equivalent to the cost of the original bill. I didn't take photos- sending 2 young people overseas and 3 weeks out of hospital... it slipped my mind. It's also noted in the small print so they can say they told you... but they really didn't.

Terrible service. The driver never came to pick up my luggage and didn’t even bother to call. Despite this, they kept insisting that the driver had come, which was simply untrue – they couldn’t even get in touch with the DHL driver themselves. I never received a refund, and they took no responsibility for the situation.
In the end, I had to travel back to the UK to collect my luggage, all after paying nearly £70 for this useless service. Avoid them at all costs. It's far better to use a more reliable service than one that makes excuses and fails to take responsibility when things go wrong. Truly horrendous and rubbish service.

Great care was taken of my musical equipment, flight cased amplifiers and sound processors and although not covered by their insurance for damage, it all arrived without a scratch.
