Whilst I didn’t employ the services of this company, I purchased the house from somebody who did. I know this because I arrived at my new house and had to wait a few hours for them to finish the job. They have left our new house in a horrible state. Paint ripped off the top of bannisters, scratches on the walls and lovely wood floors. In an attempt to move an oversized olive tree they have dragged this across an expensive and ornately tiled patios, ruining it. They have left this tree in a very inconvenient position blocking a footpath as they apparently could not get it up some steps and we cannot move it. They also left a large smashed clay pot for us to deal with. Given that we paid a premium for the nice finishes of the house and garden this is really very sad and disappointing for us, leaving us with additional unnecessary cost. A sign of lazy inconsiderate work. I hope they took better care of the sellers possessions. We are exploring legal action currently. Very poor

We used Michael and his team for 2 separate removals for my Brother and then my Mother. They were so professional and hard working. They arrived promptly and didn’t leave until the job was completely finished including assembling beds and table tennis tables!
From start to finish they were an absolute pleasure to have on both days. The quotes given were very competitive too. I would fully recommend these guys.

We used Chess Moves for our house move last Thursday and they were very reasonable in price compared to other local companies. From start to finish they were very professional.
The Team of 3 Tom, Darren and Cain wrapped, packed and moved us. All three were really friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble (with a bit of banter thrown in).
Everything arrived safely and we were very happy with the service provided.
I will be recommending them in the future.

Excellent service from Chess Moves! The team packed, transported and reassembled everything with care and precision, even tackling a tricky children’s play den without fuss. Professional, efficient and friendly - highly recommended!

Huge thanks to Anthony, Chuck, and others for making my move from Brighton so smooth. The guys were efficient, fast, and took great care of all my belongings. Also really appreciated the in-person visit from Frazer who was able to provide a much more reasonable quote compared to other companies I tried who insisted on quoting via video call. I'll definitely be using Chess again for my next move. Thanks again for the great experience.

I couldn’t be happier with the fantastic service provided! The team packed everything with such care and handled the dismantling and reassembly effortlessly. They truly took all the stress away from the move, remaining cheerful and personable the whole time. From my first enquiry to the final move, communication was seamless and clear.
