The movers themselves were polite enough and did their job, but it was clear they were under constant micromanagement, with one of them glued to the phone with the office throughout the move. Before even receiving a quote, I provided full details of all items needing transport. Yet, on the day, I was told not everything would fit into the van. This seemed conveniently timed to justify a second trip (and added charges), though only a few items were “left over” — and there was clearly still space.
I was also charged £15 per floor, totalling £60, because one item supposedly didn’t fit in the lift, despite offering to carry it ourselves. The movers insisted they’d handle it — in hindsight, likely motivated by the added fees.
I was promised a refund of £83 on 19 June 2025, but it’s now been nearly two weeks, and I’m still waiting. Each day brings a different excuse — I’ve been told it’s with the accounts team, with management, etc. I’m now being strung along with empty promises, told it’ll be resolved soon over and over again.
In short, a frustrating experience that left a sour taste. The service was not entirely poor, but the hidden charges, overmanagement, and questionable billing practices make it difficult to recommend.Read more
