We were very pleased with Mark and his team. Their pricing was more affordable than many other places we checked. They arrived half an hour earlier than scheduled and we moved without any issues. Thanks to the whole team!

Update: 01 December 25. The shipment has been dropped off now in Thailand, exactly on schedule. As my wife is Thai, there were no customs payments necessary. The boxes all arrived in great condition. The whole process couldn't have been easier, thanks to Mark. Very happy.

We used Mark Ratcliffe Moving to transport our possessions to Thailand and our experience has been excellent. Mark's communication is second-to-none and everything has gone without a hitch. Totally reliable, he's guided us every step of the way and made the process extremely easy.

Having been let down (who hasn't) by AnyVan, I was in desperate need of a reliable removals company to get my 2 bedroom house contents in North London down to Pevensey, East Sussex!
I enquired via website with Mark Ratcliffe Moving & Self Storage, sending a full written inventory and was contacted immediately by Mark the owner. He put my mind at ease about the following:
1) His crew were super professional and would take care of any delicate items.
2) He would send two long wheelbase Luton vans as I was moving a distance of 90 miles and we could not make the mistake of not being able to fit everything on in one go!
3) All my very heavy plant pots would be put on the back of the 2nd Luton - I had thought I would need to abandon at least half of theses!
4) He would supply plenty of moving 'wardrobes' so all hanging items could go in on the hangers and all pictures and large TV would be properly protected.
I felt confident and was happy to pay the deposit and full remaining balance a couple of days later. The night before Mark called me giving me an ETA for arrival of the Lutons on the Saturday along with the names of the 3 men being sent and a mobile number to contact them while on route to me if needed.
THE REMOVAL ITSELF
I am completely blown away with appreciation and gratitude to the service I received. Chris, Martin and Chris 2 were so friendly and helpful, cheerful and cleared my house in around 90 mins.
They drove directly to the destination and were courteous to my girlfriend and put totally sufficient coverings on all the carpets in entrance hallway and bottom half of stairs as there was heavy rain.
Again they got all belongings in the house in record time, INCLUDING going round the back of the house many times to put garden furniture in garden and all shed items were put in neat order.
I could not be happier with the service Mark Ratcliffe provided me from start to finish and I would recommend them to anyone that needs to move house.

I had a great experience with Mark Ratcliffe moving. I discussed the move beforehand and paid the minimum 4 hour charge up front.
On the day, the 2 removal guys were great. They worked at speed and we were able to fit everything in 1 load and all was completed in the minimum 4 hour charge.
I was apprehensive they may go slow to incur more costs, but absolutely not.
I even received a welcome to my new home card some days later. Excellent. Book with confidence.

We recently moved house in Wadhurst. On our arrival at our new property it was evident that the removal men (Mark Ratcliffe Moving and Self Store) at the new property were still in the process of loading the vans. Unfortunately this process was not completed until 3.30 and, having communicated with the owners, we understand that despite the agreement that 3 vans and the appropriate number of men would be provided, on the day unfortunately only 2 vans and reduced man power were provided and therefore one van was then required to make 2 journeys. Given the limited parking and access to our new home this unfortunalely resulted in a delay until 3.30 before we had access resulting of an additional cost to us of £360 (over and above the one hour delay that is considered acceptable when completing on a property). Despite initially agreeing to make a contribution to this extra cost this offer was then withdrawn!

Fantastic reliable professional international moving company. Specializing in shipping to Thailand. All my personal items were carefully and professionally packed and safely transported to Thailand. Thank you , Chris, Andrew and Derrick. It took all day for Marks team to pack and load the 2 lorries.I highly recommend Mark Ratcliffe and his team. When you move abroad it is a big worry whether you will be reunited with your personal, family furniture and valuable possessions. I was able to check on the container ship using an online app, to follow its progress. After paying the Customs and Import Duty tax, my stuff was delivered by United Relocation and within 2 hours everything was in the house.
It has taken me , over 1 month to unpack everything . Everything was delivered safely.
Mark Ratcliffe Moving Ltd website is great. Professional and easily accessible. The UK lorries have eye catching art work adjoining them.
I am retired, after a career working for the NHS as a frontline worker. Mark Ratcliffe Moving Ltd is a company I would definitely want to work for.
