D.R. Macleod was founded in 1981 with one lorry. The company is now in its 33rd year and operates 55 large commercial vehicles, plus around 90 trailers, supplemented with approximately a dozen smaller vans for local deliveries; and employs over 100 people throughout the Western Isles, Inverness, Skye and Glasgow – making the island-based business a truly nationwide company.

On Argos website we booked a slot for Wednesday to bring a washing machine being delivered by DFDS.
They had our mob.
They delivered on Tuesday and plonked at our neighbours backdoor.
Chap would call us, we called 3x no answer.
Bad communication
Bad community skills Bad delivery
Don’t use Argos for white goods.
DFDS leaves you with your stuff outside at the wrong address.

WHAT A DISGRACE!!! An entire kitchen was delivered yesterday …….,,. that’s everything appliances as well, was left at the side of the road with the expectation that myself and my husband in our 60’s were to bring it off the road piece by piece. We were left with no choice but to do so no help from the driver. At no time was it ever told that this was OUR job. It took us 2hrs of backbreaking work and a lot of discomfort today.
This company charged £180 they ought to be ashamed. .
