Peter and his pal (didn't catch his name), were absolutely fantastic today. Proper grafters!
But then we were hit with the bill, nearly doubled to nearly £900, because of 'travel time'. They were less than 10 miles away!

We used this firm on recommendation from the estate agency through whom we were marketing my parents’ home, however we definitely wouldn’t recommend them ourselves.
We had three separate collections of items….one set for us to keep, one to go to a local auction house, and the other to be donated to charity. Luckily we had boxed up most of the items we wanted to keep ourselves and these, along with a few items of furniture, were put in temporary storage at Leigh’s until the purchase of our new home was completed.
We believe the items for auction arrived unscathed because they all were sold and the auction house reported no damages. However, when our items were brought to our new home they were in a terrible state. The furniture was filthy and several items we had left in the charity collection had instead been just thrown in amongst ours, including a porcelain basket which hadn’t been wrapped at all and was actually smashed inside one of the drawers of a piece of furniture. As I mentioned, fortunately we had packed up the breakable items we were keeping ourselves but I dread to think what condition the charity items must have been in when they were delivered which is very upsetting as everything had been very well taken care of and there were many lovely pieces which deserved to go to a new home and would have raised a considerable amount of money for the charity.
Additionally, having booked a date for our items to come out of storage and be brought to our new home well in advance, we were very disturbed to receive a phone call less than forty eight hours before asking if we could change! We were told there was an issue with another client’s move and solicitors were blamed although, obviously, we were doubtful that this was true. We stuck to our guns and said we couldn’t change as everything had been arranged for that day by this time which could explain why, when our things arrived, it felt as though they were just being dumped into our home rather than being carefully handled.
Leigh’s are very expensive but sadly do not provide the level of service which one would expect for that price tag. VERY disappointing.Read more

We used Leigh’s again for a return move from Dumbarton to Kendal. Just as the last time we used them (over two years ago) the team worked incredibly hard to make our move run smoothly. Top notch! ***Original Review***
