229I used LMS for a move in September 2025, which was insured for up to £100,000 according to their quotation. Unfortunately, multiple items were damaged, including a sofa, a fridge, and a desk, and several glass items were broken. Packing was done poorly, with my own bedsheets and pillows used for wrapping glass ornaments. Boxes labelled for upstairs rooms were left in the garage, and my duvets and pillows, needed for the night of the move, were packed in an unlabelled box left in the garage, causing significant inconvenience for my daughter.
The company also assembled my TV bed incorrectly and later refused to return to correct it. A friend had to fix it at no cost to me, but only after several days of unnecessary inconvenience. Yet another bed was assembled without some of its slats which were left under the bed.
I tried to resolve the matter directly and initially requested £360 in compensation for the damage and distress. The owner then insisted that I remove my Google review before he would make payment. I agreed to amend the review once the payment was received, and we settled on £300. However, after I removed my review in good faith, the company failed to pay and instead made false claims that I had refused them access to the property and that my daughter had instructed the movers to place boxes in the garage - both of which are untrue.
I am now in the process of lodging a formal written complaint and escalating the matter to the relevant ombudsman. I had hoped to resolve this amicably, but based on my experience, I would advise anyone considering this company to exercise caution and to document everything carefully.
I will update this review once my complaint is formally concluded.Read more
