CrissCross Removals and Storage is a family-run removals company based in Lisburn, serving Belfast and the wider Northern Ireland area. Chris Magee founded the company in 2016, starting with a single Transit van, and it has grown into a team running four trucks with its own self-contained storage. We handle house moves, flat moves, and office relocations, along with packing and storage, and we also run long-distance moves to England, Scotland, and the Republic of Ireland. What makes your company stand out?

We are owner-led and based in Lisburn, not a franchise, so the people who quote your move are the people who carry it out. Every quote is fixed-price after a free survey, which means the figure we agree is the figure you pay, with no surprise charges on the day. We handle the full job in-house: packing, careful loading, transport, and delivery, plus our own storage if your move-out and move-in dates do not line up.

What is your insurance policy? How do you deal with damaged items?

Goods are covered by goods-in-transit insurance while they are in our care. We protect furniture with blankets and covers and pack fragile items with proper materials to reduce the risk of damage in the first place. In the rare event that something is damaged, we ask you to let our team know as soon as possible after delivery so we can put it right and handle any claim. Full insurance details are confirmed with your quote, so you know what is covered before you book.

What is the best advice you would give to customers?

Book a survey before you commit to any quote. A proper virtual or in-person survey lets the mover see the volume and the access at both addresses, which is what turns a rough phone estimate into a price you can rely on. Declutter before you pack, label boxes by room, and keep an essentials box with documents and daily items separate so it travels with you rather than on the van. And if your move-out and move-in dates might not line up, ask about storage early rather than on moving day.

We just had Crisscross help with our removal and honestly the most helpful fellas about, couldn’t fault them at all, they just got on with the job and would definitely hire them again if we ever needed to move house

Brilliant service from the Team at Crisscross Removals. From the first contact, the video consultation to get an idea of what we were moving and then adjusting our moving date as well as the move itself, they were absolutely brilliant. Hoping we won't have to move again anytime soon but if we do then we will certainly be using Crisscross. Highly recommended.

Cannot recommend more highly. From query to quote and booking, Rebecca was incredibly responsive and helpful. On the day, Spencer, Stuart, Graeme and the team were absolutely fantastic. Friendly, full of chat and great with the two kids and one very unhelpful dog.

They worked so hard - they never seemed to stop. It was such a long day, but they were smiling and conscientious to the last minute. Lovely lads.

Excellent work today by Jude, Stewart and Odhran. Making our move from Dublin to Belfast seamless. Efficient collection of items in Dublin and delivery to Belfast the same day. Confirmation on both sides to ensure everything was collected from Dublin, and everything was put in the correct place in Belfast. Would highly recommend.
