We recently used W.J. Edwards for our house move, and I can’t recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, the whole experience was excellent.
From the initial quote with Jim, everything was handled professionally, efficiently, and with great communication — even with the uncertainty around completion dates, the team were so accommodating and easy to work with.
On moving day, Richard, Ian, and Mark were absolutely fantastic. They worked incredibly hard over a day and a half — super efficient, professional, and just a real pleasure to have around. After loading up the lorry, we all sat together on the doorstep for breakfast before hitting the road, having a good chat about everything. It was just so friendly and relaxed — a lovely start to what could have been a stressful day.
They had an early start and a long drive, yet their energy, care, and attention to detail never wavered. As soon as we got the keys, they unpacked the lorry quickly and efficiently, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. They were also exceptionally helpful, always checking in to make sure boxes went into the right rooms and that everything was just as we wanted it.
A genuinely brilliant company — professional, friendly, and extremely helpful. I’d recommend W.J. Edwards to anyone looking for a reliable, well-organised, and personable removals team.Read more

5 star review , great service from start to finish . Moving a 4 bed house furniture with quite a bit of garden plants and furniture was all done with a hitch with 6 person team and two trucks in half a day. Will recommend any day and kudos to the team.

Thanks to W.J Edward’s removals for going above and beyond for moving us from Bedfordshire to Cornwall. Tom Green and Mark Elliot were absolutely brilliant they made the move a lot less stressful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They were professional curtious and treated our belongings as if they were there own. The poor guys had to work on one of the hottest days of the year but did not stop. They then stored our belongings overnight and arrived the next day to unload. They made sure we were happy with where each item of furniture was placed in our new property. What a great asset to the company. Edward’s are lucky to employ such great guys. Would 100% recommend this company to anyone for removals.

We used W.J. Edwards (and I am no relation!) to move from Harpenden to York in April 2025. Organising the move was very straightforward.
It was quite a big job (6 bedroom house). They spent 2 days packing (6 of them), were finished well in time on the following day for completion of the sale. They completed the entire unload on the next day, in spite of access to the new house being quite tricky. Everything arrived intact.
Throughout the whole process, the removers were polite, professional, highly competent (including dismantling and reassembling some large pieces of furniture). They were also very considerate and cheerful. From our experience, I cannot recommend them too highly

Fantastic Service across two days packing and delivering. Tom, Christian, Ian and Tom went above and beyond .professional, personable and skillful at dismantling and reassembling furniture. Managed to install our furniture into our property, couldn't recommend them anymore. Service was exactly what i had expected from recommendations. Thank you Jim, Duncan and whole team
