Fabulous experience from quote to actual removal - came highly recommended. Lovely guys on the day of removal who were very respectful of contents and houses. Would definitely have no hesitation in recommending and would use services again.

I contacted Matthew for a quote only a week and half before I could fly to the UK for the moving. I also had a very tight time frame where I needed this move to happen, and from that very first email I always got very quick and professional service.
We ended up booking the move for the day I was flying in and despite the uncertainty of the timings, communication was excellent and the team was at my door and ready to get to work at the time arranged.
They were quick, professional and careful with the items. In less than 5 hours the job was complete and all the containers sent to storage.
Despite my inability to estimate how many boxes were needed, Matthew was very supportive and helpful with the estimation and the quote was very similar to the final pricing. Payment for the storage space has also been very smooth so far so I am very impressed with this local company.
Looking forward to work with them again in the future.

Please read this review in the knowledge that a robust and contrary response will likely come from Matthew Carter because that is how he operates, however I kept records of everything described below and my review is 100% accurate. Initial quote process seemed promising however once we were in to the final sale process and trying to arrange the removal date everything fell apart. Over a period of 2 weeks We couldn't get a response to emails and voicemail messages to confirm availability of move dates. After constant chasing by email and phone he eventually responded and confirmed the move date. However on exchange of contracts day , (one week away from the move date) when we tried to get confirmation of the removal date we were once again ghosted. When we eventually managed to speak to him he wouldn't confirm the date but promised to call me back in 15 minutes, he never did, I tried constantly to call over the next 4 hours but he never answered. Eventually 4 days later he called back but not confirming anything, just claiming he had seen some missed calls. By this time we had given up on Matthew Carter and made last minute arrangements with another company, costing us significantly more for the short notice arrangements and causing significant stress in what is already a stressful process .. We cannot recommend Mathew Carter and I strongly recommend you avoid them. I'm sure he will post a response to this which is obviously his right, I doubt it will be an apology. We recently moved from Witney to North Yorkshire and Matthew Carter’s team were exceptional! Everything was packed carefully so that nothing was damaged in transit, and the team could not have been more helpful, going the extra mile on several occasions. For example, they had to remove and replace an internal door to get our dining table in, and remove the top from another table to get it into the room where we hoped it would go.

I am really impressed with Carters. The team I had were friendly and courteous and did a fantastic job without fuss. I used this firm thirty years ago and they were brilliant then and haven’t changed. I can’t recommend them highly enough.

Matthew Carter packed up the contents of a large house for us, stored them for several months and then delivered to two different locations 200 miles apart. All the team that we met were very professional, polite and very helpful. We think this was an excellent service, and competitively priced. We would definitely use them again.
