GMS provided an estimate of 5-15 days to deliver my goods. It took 35 days. I had to chase them multiple times for updates, and they never advised me that the festive period would have an impact on my goods. As a consequence none of the Christmas presents arrived for my family and GMS demonstrated zero concern or ackwnowledgement for how misleading they are. I would never advise using GMS. and I have used many removal companies.

This is the worst company I have ever encountered; just to summarize my experience of moving some package from London to Dubai:
- They collected my package in JULY, and after one month of zero communication, they told me they HAD LOST ALL THE PACKAGES..
- After many emails and calls, they finally managed to find my packages, but they told me to wait because there was no shipping available.
- on NOVEMBER, I finally received the package, and they lost one (of course, the most precious with a PS4 and all the games)
- After an infinite number of emails, they offer me 40£ in compensation...
Please avoid it at all costs; even the people I was talking they were resigning... It's clear they don't care.

Careless with furniture

Op de dag dat de verhuisfirma GMS onze spullen moest inladen (maandag), waren ze 4 uren te laat. GMS had de klus uitbesteed aan een ander verhuisbedrijfje (Airport Transfers Kent ltd) dat zeer onprofessioneel overkwam (3 mannen van oost-europese origine die zeer gebrekkig Engels spraken en verstonden en waarvan minstens één dronken was) en handelden. Ze hebben er 4 uur over gedaan om alles ingeladen te krijgen.
Ze waren niet op de hoogte gebracht door GMS over welke goederen ze moesten verhuizen, noch over de afgesproken datum van levering (vrijdag van diezelfde week) op ons adres in het buitenland.
Ik ontving de volgende dag, dinsdag, al een telefoon van de verhuisfirma dat de 3 mannen onderweg waren en diezelfde avond de spullen konden leveren op ons nieuw buitenlands adres.
Aangezien wij nog niet waren aangekomen, drongen ze erop aan om de levering te laten doorgaan zonder ons, maar in aanwezigheid van één van de aannemers die aan het dak van ons huis werkte .
Ze hebben alle meubels afgeleverd op het gelijkvloers (ipv op de eerste verdieping) aan de andere kant van het huis.
Op de terugweg hebben ze de porteloo van de aannemers die aan het dak werkten, ingeladen in hun vrachtwagen en zijn ze vertrokken.
Eenmaal terug thuis in België merken we ook dat er spullen zijn verdwenen uit onze garage.
Bewijzen van deze diefstallen heb ik niet, maar ik wil eventuele toekomstige klanten wel waarschuwen voor deze frauduleuze praktijken.
Ik diende klacht in bij GMS, maar helaas ontkennen ze alles en seponeren ze de klacht.

Avoid booking with this dishonest company at all costs - If I could give no stars I would. GMS was great when I was booking their service for my international move, but once I signed contracts and paid the ongoing service and communication was terrible. After many international moves in my life, this was the very worst service. They packed my items into LARGER boxes than necessary, INCREASING the volume and the cost without any justification, while some fragile items were minimally packed and unprotected. When I queried this practice and requested a reasonable refund to cover the larger shipment size, they informed me this was 'standard practice'. I have never had other moving companies do this. Do not book this service, they are not honest or reputable. Buyer Beware!

I have looked at our records and know that our team spoke to you regarding the increase in volume. You did advise that having spoken with your storage facility, there was an oversight on their part. Also, there was never a dispute from you regarding the volume, nor any alternative instruction. Following an email on 6/9/21 you confirmed payment for this over-volume charge with no issues being raised on this at the time.

The pandemic caused significant delays in the shipment of your goods, and as such, it is important to note that this has been affecting all shipments, especially those in New Zealand, Australia, and the U.S.A. All of these delays have been caused by container shortages, shipping line cancellations, and port congestion which are beyond our control and we are still suffering the effects of them a year later. We acknowledge tha t this process must have been stressful and the information was limited and we do apologise for this.
