BEWARE!!!! Move June 12 2026
I am acutely aware of the majority of people that rate experience with this company highly. My observations are that the company operates at least two teams, a team professional looking slightly older men in company uniform. and a team of younger men in street wear. We had the latter move us. To cut a very long story short, If you do choose to deal with this company These are my recommendations; 1) when the person surveys your home prior to removal- make sure you stipulate exactly what furniture you need dismantling - don’t take as read that they will dismantle no matter how obvious it might seem. The company will demand extra payments to dismantle 2) Make sure everything is labled, 3) Have someone available to watch your items on and off the removal van. We have items missing and jewellery put on the van despite it being policy not to have jewellery put on the van.
Our day started off with my wife smelling cannabis on the driver. The team said they were not able to dismantle any furniture - resulting in me having to call out the manager. The manager defended her team, and reinforced the no dismantling aspect of the contract. My step son ended up dismantling several items. A jewellery box ended being packed in a cardboard box by the team and put on the lorry. This jewellery box was not packed deliberately and was intended for carriage in our car. Some boxes were placed in our new home others were unceremoniously dumped untidily in the garage. We found the jewellery box untidily packed in carbon box under other packed boxes in the middle of the garage. Missing was an expensive ladies watch, the cheaper watches were left in situ. There is also damage to furniture , a crystal glass retirement present was destroyed despite being carefully wrapped in several layers of bubble wrap. The matter was reported to the police. INCIDENTLY IF YOU WERE MOVED BY THIS COMPANY ROUNDABOUT THE 11th JUNE 2026. WE HAVE SOME SHELVING TO A DISMANTLED UNIT THAT WAS PUT IN OUR GARAGE. THEY ARE NOT OURS.
Reply to update from care move; The reply is not surprising, this manager gaslights all her complaints. Our issues were; 1. Not enough and damaged boxes were supplied. Further supplies were refused 2) Demanding up front payment when policy dictated that payment was due on completion. 3) Denying dismantling was agreed. 4) Damaged furniture and possessions. Crystal glass retirement gift, smashed, Wooden wardrobe gouged, smashed 42” flatscreen TV, smashed crystal water glasses. 5) Driver of Van smelled of cannabis. 6) Item reported to police suspected of being stolen - subject to police investigation. Jewellery box the watch was kept in was surreptitiously packed in a box, contrary to care move policy this was placed in the van and eventually dumped among other boxes in the garage at our new address. This item was a Tag Heuer ladies watch (I have never heard of a Tesla watch) 7) The manager was unconciliatory and showed zero empathy. Her character shows in her more than dishonest reply. We paid for and expected an excellent service (£1250). IF YOU DO DECIDE TO USE THIS COMPANY, I HOPE YOU ARE ABLE TO GIVE THEM AN EXCELLENT REVIEW. GOOD LUCK!!!Read more

Very poor service. On asking for some care with a delicate item, one of the team of four threatened me with violence. I was so shocked, in my own home, by the time it was over I couldn’t find my phone and call the police. Yellow vans with the green stripe- never, ever again. Avoid. Far better in Solihull/West Midlands.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with Dale & Daughters and would not recommend them to anyone. During the move, they caused visible damage to my table and its base — damage that was clearly a result of careless handling. When I raised the issue, they outright refused to accept any responsibility and showed zero willingness to resolve the situation or even acknowledge the damage.
Customer service was dismissive and unhelpful throughout the process. I expected a professional service, but what I received was anything but. If you value your belongings and expect accountability from a company you’re trusting with your property, look elsewhere.

I had an awful experience with this removal company. They turned up over an hour late with no prior warning or apology. When I asked about the delay, the staff were dismissive and downright rude, acting like I was being unreasonable for expecting them on time.
To make matters worse, several of my belongings were damaged during the move — including a scratched table, a broken lamp, and scuff marks on my walls. They showed zero care when handling my furniture, and I had to ask them multiple times to be careful, which they ignored.
The lack of professionalism was shocking from start to finish. No accountability, no customer service, and certainly no respect for other people’s property. Save yourself the stress — book literally anyone else.

The only reason these people have got 1 star is that you have to leave at least 1 to post the review…. We made the mistake of using these people for our house move which went from bad to worse .. firstly they dropped a can of paint over the patio area of the house we were moving from which I had to clean up myself … on arriving at our new property they began unloading our belongings into the house without putting down any dust sheets and not using any boot coverings so we now have filthy carpets .. the wallpaper has been ripped in many places as you can see from the photos .. They told us everything was off the van even though 2 televisions were still on it Avoid these people at all costs you will get nowhere with complaining about anything after you have paid them they come out with any excuse in the book .. We have just had the unfortunate experience of having Bernadette take a look at the damage who decided to make all sorts of excuses for the damage then insult us in our home .. absolutely disgusting …Read more
