They totally screwed up my shipment and dealing with them was a nightmare experience. They were extremely slow to ship, despite other companies being able to deliver much faster. I wasn't kept properly updated, and was often misled on hidden costs. After endless delays I had to cancel my move, only to find they had charged me for crating which they hadn't done. Even though I had it in writing they refused to refund me. In short, they were unprofessional, inefficient, and full of lame excuses. Terrible experience.

Terrible experience. This company’s website gives the impression that they offer a premium service, but they send only two men to move four containers of effects. Worse still, our possessions came back from 11 months in storage reeking of damp and mildew spotted. Even my antique cast iron bedstead was pitted with rust. The whole experience was beyond stressful and it is going to take weeks of cleaning to try to get rid of the damp smell.
pro
The two removal men worked very hard and were polite and careful.

Our contents were stored in damp conditions and have been ruined. Two men are not enough to move a family sized house.
con
They told us they would arrive at 10-11am but changed on day to 12 and the extra man they said they “might” supply did not turn up.

This isn’t the first time we’ve worked with the company and we were very happy previously, which is why we opted to use the service again. Now we are beyond disappointed.

We booked a shipment of personal items to be shipped from London to Progresso Port in Mexico. Bishop’s Move shipped to Veracruz without telling us, which is 1000 miles from us. They didn’t even seem to understand that they were different ports even claiming that there was not a port in Progresso.

This is all costing us a great deal, particularly as Bishop’s Move had no idea that only customs brokers, at the specific port, with specific certifications could clear personal items, meaning they kept insisting that we use the broker we originally employed in Progresso.

Over a period of weeks all we received were excuses and no explanations or assistance. The marketing department promised to investigate and get back to us. We’ve never had a reply. An international shipping company should have some idea of where they will be landing the items they are shipping and keep their customers informed. This did not happen and we are still in the middle of a nightmare, 8 weeks on, trying to sort this out. Given our previous experience, it seems their customer care has gone down the tubes.

I made a huge mistake choosing Bishops Move, for a relocation from UK to Spain, over more serious well established movers. Bishops Move are expensive compared to other movers offering an equivalent service, but they are not serious and they are not reliable. Bishops Move made the moving process very difficult and incredibly stressful. I had to chase them up constantly to get updates; I even had to deal with the logistic of the delivery myself for 2 days over the phone with the company they sub-contracted in Spain for the delivery to my new address. My boxes and furnitures were just added in a truck without being on the inventory so movers in Spain were not aware they had to deliver those items nor to whom in Spain. Bishops Move are clearly not interested in providing a good service or improving their service, even after serious issues have been flagged to them. They are dismissive, aggressive and rude on the phone. They even attempted to blame me for planning my move early (3 months in advance) which apparently is somewhat not convenient for them! I was hostage to their disorganised schedule for weeks, receiving late erroneous or very inconvenient dates and times that they would still change at the last minute. I lost days of work waiting for pick up and delivery at home, for nothing. There were constant issues and setbacks, including delayed truck, van involved in a serious road accident (serious enough to break to van frame and windows and prevent delivery!) and while my items were in it; and many more unbelievable stories and excuses from Bishops Move! It reaches a point where it becomes impossible to trust Bishops Move. I thought they would never deliver my belongings or had lost them. Eventually, my items arrived late, after many weeks but they were damaged in transit. Expect a poor, unreliable, disorganised and unprofessional service that will leave you at their mercy, stressed, without knowing whether you will receive your belongings and furniture to your new home, and without any apology from Bishops Move. For the fee they charge and the terrible service they provide, I would have rather picked up another company or purchased new furniture in Spain which would have been much easier. Avoid Bishops Move, they are not it.
