Some of the items THEY packed arrived damaged, as did multiple items of furniture, the mover who damaged one told my son he just had to fix it with some wood glue even though the wood finish was ripped off the drawers. The proprietor then wrote to us to say he was not insured. The move took longer than he estimated, we had to pay the extra. His staff did part of the packing, 2 men for a full day, and they confirmed to us that the broken items (art deco ceramics) were packed by them. A majority of the actual move was subcontracted to another company and there were various disagreements between the two companies during the move along with a language barrier, and very heavy-handed handling of boxes and furniture including reckless overloading of the small lift.Read more
