As seen on Ripoff Britain. Do not use at all costs, they charged me £1500 for extra insurance and a care package team. Subcontractors turn up with no lifting equipment and damaged my old home, my new home and damaged my expensive equipment when it was dropped down the stairs nearly killing their staff member. 7 months on, no insurance package just months of emails and gathering quotes. STAY AWAY!! SCAM COMPANY!!

We messed up our move. They offered to help us. They took the money and did nothing but give us boxes. We asked for a refund and they agreed but have ignored us. I ring nearly everyday. I have spoken with [Names removed by Sirelo]. I didn't even complain about the things they broke. It's disappointing as I chose them over TDS removal because of the promises.

Buying a home is “one of life's most stressful experiences” so of course I took the time to check out suitable companies, paid extra for the premium service to ensure I had adequate insurance cover (up to £100K), checked company reviews and checked that they were members of National guild of removers and regulated by the Insurance ombudsman. Cornerstone were far from our cheapest quote, in fact we paid a total of £2174.00.
Where to start, the whole process was awful, on the day of the move, 3 men turned up late and started to remove our goods with little care, the walls were damaged, and floors and goods not covered. Once our goods were thrown in the van the removals cornered me aggressively to say there was too much, they were told only 2 beds instead of 3, although the quote clearly stated 3, I felt vulnerable and concerned that they wouldn’t deliver at the new property, I informed them that I paid good money and they stated they only received £600 as sub-contractors, I told them to take it up with cornerstone.
At this point I was quite shaky and called cornerstone to express my concern for the behaviour and concern for potential damage, I was reassured that the insurance would cover any damage and given an apology for the experience.
Things didn’t improve the other side, our new home was treated with complete disrespect and furniture just thrown in a heap, boxes dropped, walls gouged.
Within 5 days I made my claim and whilst the National guild of removers would state I should receive a response within 7 working days, it took 22 working days, despite much chasing. The response was the job sheet I signed on the day to get these people out of my home was in fact an insurance waiver, I didn’t have glasses on to read the small print and was still quite shaken, why would I pay for extra insurance to waive my right to it, this is fraudulent and should be made clear – so beware, I have seen other hidden reviews since and would appear I am not alone!!! I have since taken up with Cornerstone and the staff have never been made aware of the waiver so are unintentionally mis-informing customers – BEWARE!!Read more

we choose Cornerstone to transfer our house. Pricewise they were a bit cheaper but including insurance, they were not cheaper anymore. we paid for Premium service with furniture dismantle and assemble. However, the crew had no clue how to open even a simple table. I gave my toolbox to use and at the end of the move, they steal my toolbox. This company should be banned from UK- they have no work ethics and people are not friendly and not accommodative. Once you paid the fee upfront you completely screwed up. Avoid this company- even if they would like to do your job for free. So much broken furniture bed- table, plates. we lost ten times the value of the move. Careful!
