I wanted to give them ZERO rating. Completely unprofessional, the whole move was a fiasco from start to finish. It’s such a long story I cannot write it all here. But in short they turned up with inadequate amount of men , a small van instead of large truck promised and late. The 2 men took 1 look and panicked and called for more help and another truck. Instead of leaving our home by 1pm, we finally left at 5.30pm and we even ended up helping pack, even though we paid for a full pack service. They then tried to charge us an extra £500 as they said we had more stuff. I wouldn’t pay it and they refused to ship until we did, in the end they agreed to reduce the amount to much less and we paid. Precious items we’re not wrapped properly as promised, despite reminding them. The moving company in NYC who were trucking our belongings down to Florida were a nightmare, unhelpful and rude and deliberately delayed our delivery. It turned up on a Sunday evening at 7.30pm in the pouring rain. One of the guys picked up a long cardboard box and my beautiful mirror slipped out the other end and smashed, because the box was not wrapped properly, it wasn’t his fault. I had been promised that it would be crated, instead it had a flimsy cardboard wrap around it and barely any tape. Things arrived unboxed with brown tape around them, which tore and damaged them when we removed the tape, or left marks that we were unable to remove, including my husbands expensive Trek bike. He was promised twice that it would be bubble wrapped, but it wasn’t. Instead brown tape was wrapped around the handle, with a number written on it in black marker pen. Of course the tape marked the handle when it was removed. I became very sick after we moved here and we were unable to unpack most things and only managed to unpack what was really needed and so it took a while to unpack everything, it was a process that lasted several weeks/ months and could only be done as I felt well enough. All the boxes had been placed in the garage and we tackled what we could at a time. One day I felt well enough to unpack a couple of boxes and went into the garage and couldn’t find the box with my wedding dress, we hunted everywhere and realized it was missing. I was distraught. We contacted Eagle and told them and they said they’d check in the warehouse. We eventually realized that other precious items were missing. Baby items of my daughters that had been kept as keepsakes and other miscellaneous items. Eagle said we had signed for the box when delivered. We had not. There was an item listed as wedding dress, but the box and number on it, related to my wedding veil. We had fortunately made a note of the number of each box as we unpacked them, but some of the numbers seemed to be duplicated and many numbers were ineligible. I have photos of this as proof. Over a very long period of time, my husband and I went back and forth with Eagle, but they just said it was over 30 days and too late to claim. I explained I didn’t want to claim, I just wanted my missing items and begged them to find my wedding dress. I even wrote and said if it was in their warehouse and they’d made a mistake, I didn’t care and wouldn’t take it further, but just wanted my dress back. I have been through enough distress with my health, but this made everything so much worse. We moved over 5 years ago, but the stress that this caused was immense and it has taken me until now to be able to write this. I’m not a weak person, I’m very strong in dealing with things life throws at me, but this has been such an awful experience. I’m still very upset and very angry. They are not an honest or trustworthy company, they first quote a price and when everything is paid for, they go on to quote a different price. They first sent me a quote with a price, which I then sent the company that was paying for my relocation. Once everything was paid for, they charged me extra for an amount that was not in the quotation they had sent me. I will make sure not to recommend their services to anyone and I am really surprised they are allowed to operate in this manner.

A couple of fundamental errors which I wasn't expecting from an experienced removal company.
Even with a pre-survey stating the correct volume, the removal team had the wrong volume on their paperwork, which lead to overrun in packing/loading time and requesting an additional van at the last minute late in the day.
I appreciate that i moved at a peak time of year, but Eagle had to contract staff to assist on 2 out of the 3 days which meant a lack of experience, consistency and quality control for agency staff on adhoc jobs.
On all 3 days the team turned up late. On one of the days the team were half an hour into their departure from the warehouse and had to go back as they forgot the clothes boxes.
On arrival of my container, there was a lack of correct paperwork which was due from UK side (assumed to be from warehouse), leading to a delay in receiving my goods.
On opening my goods, multiple (about 40%) of my boxes were labelled incorrectly and in some instances, quite blatantly incorrect, ie. 'ironing board' labelled on a small box.
Lastly a couple of minor items were missing, and when questioning the move coordinator, she simply said 'you have confirmed receipt of all your boxes'.

They modified the conditions after signing the contract asking for additional money $2500 in order to receive the goods withholding the items unless I paid them $4400 after I was in the other country or they will not deliver. So they kept and additional $1100 when I claimed my money back as the delays were on their side but they don't take responsibility for the service and avoid contact.
