I received a call 20 minutes after the agreed time telling me they would arrive in 15 minutes; they said they had not been told about the time slot I was given. I explained that I had to go out and was told I would not get my piano until the next week. I therefore had to wait and missed a very important appointment.
When they did arrive, they attempted to deliver my piano to the wrong house at the end of my road.
It was a wet day, but the piano was taken off the lorry with a thin polythene bag over the top half, which did not completely cover the fall board.
My delivery should have been straightforward: the piano was brought in the front and into my music room next to the front door.
When I looked at the piano, I noticed some bad scratches on the fall board. I pointed this out and the response was a very unprofessional ‘Shit! We’ll get someone to come and polish that out.’
It was fairly clear to me that this required more than a polish.
I had videoed the arrival of my new piano as I was so excited. It turns out that my video showed them damaging the piano on my front door handle.
The company I bought the piano from have been wonderful, with the manager coming out that day. I am hoping the outcome will be satisfactory, but this has quite literally taken the shine off what should have been a joyous event.
I am shocked that my piano was not protected on its route from the lorry to my music room.
Extremely bad service from a dedicated piano movers.Read more

Positives:
On the one hand - team moving the piano were great, very experienced and didn’t cause any problems in a challenging move up three floors, and pointed out all the issues and agreed everything as we went ahead.
Negative: I’m surprised at the positive reviews about the communication aspect - this has been extremely poor. There was a lot of chasing up - once the cash was transferred there was a lot of silence unless prompted. Was advised that it’s challenging to fix a morning/afternoon around 10 days in advance of the move (was too early). On the day I was cancelled without notification (had to chase up for a very legitimate and understandable reason). Otherwise could have been sitting for hours waiting for someone to arrive and I would not have been informed.
Day of moving: some delays of 45mins (turns out crew had a lot of moves - again ok/understandable but useful to have been informed). Had to chase up the office to find out where they were. Got told: ‘we move a lot of pianos all over the country and we can’t be expected to keep track of all our movers. What you want is for the piano to be moved safely and well, and we will do that.’
Not the best in terms of customer service, for the amount you pay for them to move the piano (probably twice what might be asked for a lesser known company - albeit they did a good job).Read more
