We booked a full-service move (packing, loading, unpacking) over two days.
The company significantly underestimated our needs during a video quote, providing a truck suited for 1,000 sq ft instead of the required 1,300 sq ft. This misjudgment led to insufficient manpower and space, causing delays and the need for an additional van. Initially, they attempted to deny responsibility, claiming we hadn’t requested to move certain small items, despite prior confirmation. While they eventually waived the extra van fee, they charged us for two parking fines, which felt unjust given their planning errors.
We also had some problem with our belongings: shoe cabinet broken during moving out, wall damaged etc.

With all the issues, the moving was delayed and took longer than expected, so the unpacking was not completed as promised (not even started actually !).

The moving crew (quite professional though) acknowledged those issues, and told us to make claims for:
-the unpacking that could not be done (too late for the crew)
-the shoe cabinet broken during moving out (almost 200£ bought less than 2y ago)
-the damaged wall (damaged by the shoe cabinet falling) and other wall damages (300£ total - an invoice from the landlord was provided).
-the armrest of our sofa that was removed, but could not be reassembled in the new apartment (and now we are stuck with a 4k£ sofa with only one armrest instead of 2).

We did the claim for everything, and after telling us that none of the damages were covered by the terms of the contact (that you should definitely pay attention to), they generously offered us 47£ for reparation, and then stopped replying.

The experience was really bad. Only 2/3 of the job has been done, server am items were damaged.
The cherry on top was customer service offering a laughable compensation, even though the moving crew acknowledged all the issues.

We moved back in June 2024. This 1 star review isn't for the guys doing the moving - they were fine. It's the people back at the office handling the bookings, the customer service and the claims did an awful, infuriating job.

- We contact them and do the video review thing to get a quote. It all seems very friendly and practical. We make it very clear that we're doing some of the moving ourselves with repeated car trips, but they end up sending a quote of £1,698 for 2XL vans and 5 movers, which we know is way too much space, and trying to make way too much money off us

- We have to call them 3 times to get them to reduce the quote to 2 normal vans and 4 people, at a more reasonable price of £1204

- On move day, only one of the vans and 3 of the people show up. The packing is slower, the guy running the moving team doesn't know what's going on, we repeatedly call the company and are fobbed off and told the second van will arrive 'soon'

- It doesn't show up for hours. The guys doing the moving are nice enough and do a ok job on their own, but it's stressful because we're not sure we can fit it all into the 1 van we have, and because they've no idea if the 2nd van will even turn up, they're keen to set off to moving destination on their own while we wait for the other van (?!)

- We finally find out that the 2nd van was booked out on TWO other jobs before ours, and it arrives literally as we're worried the 1st van is just going to drive off. Some of the movers are laughing at what a mess it is.

- We finally drive to the new address and unpack - the guys are efficient and do a good job. But then we call M25 again to discuss a discount because the move was a mess, and we didn't get about 40% of the resources we paid £1200 for. The person on the phone refuses to accept that anything was wrong for ages, until she finally says that their claims department will 'probably' give something like a 10% discount

- We make a formal claim over e-mail, get forwarded to their claims people, and we basically get nothing but 'we're looking into this' for 2 weeks. And then after those 2 weeks, we get a message that is mostly poor excuses instead of any apology or accountability, and an offer of £25 as a compensation. £25 off a £1200 payment, when the move was a stressful mess and we didn't receive 40% of the resources we paid for (after spending a week haggling them down from paying £500 more for even more resources).

- Their explanation was that it's apparently standard that their resources are distributed 'dynamically'. We tell them how ridiculous this is that they're saying none of their customers can be guaranteed to get their resources they pay for. They reluctantly give a 'final' offer of just £50. We tell them that this is not good enough, and they simply stop replying, now over 3 weeks ago.

Blows my mind that anyone running a business would defend all this to the end, then think it's ok to just stop responding.

1 out of 10. Don’t know why it won’t let me rate any lower.

M25 Movers claim that your move is insured and protected, but what they don’t tell you is that doesn’t apply to items three years or older.

They did not wear any face masks the entire time they were doing the job, until the on-site management of the new place told them to.

In the apartment though, they took them off.

During our move they damaged a clock, tv unit, Sonos speaker, another set of speakers, the wall of the building we moved into, a collectible box from our wedding amongst other items.

They also advise that the claim you make must be reasonable and cannot reflect the original price of the item. So you have to have your item refurbished by the cheapest place possible basically.

They constantly advise they’re protected by their terms and conditions; they genuinely believe that if they damaged all of your items and they were older than three years, it would be fine as they’re protected by T&C’s.

They will NOT refund you any money directly, they do what they want, and then just try and process an insurance claim, using a policy which is cheap for them but not fit for purpose for the customer.

The company has a duty of care, and they should know that they can’t just shrug their shoulders.

They will act in this manner until they’re held accountable, and if anything goes wrong you better believe you’re going to fight tooth and nail to get anything back.

If you’ve got items older than three years old, avoid them, if you want an honest company that actually cares about their customers, avoid them.

They will be taken to a small claims court, and all expenses will be reclaimed.

I’ve attempted to settle this, but they’re being difficult and I just want to make sure nobody else goes through this.

I will be leaving this review on every single review site I can find to warn as many people as possible.

Very Helpful Team
I like this company. The customer support were as friendly and helpful as Apple
staff! The lads that came to move our things were also very good natured. They
packed my things into boxes and onto their van faster than I thought they would,
and at our new house they unpacked it equally quickly, and laid out our rooms
for us. I’m happy to give them my recommendation.

Many faults with this company unfortunately. Turned up over an hour late. Then had to come with two small vans vs the one large truck we ordered. Team were nice but heavy handed. Ended up breaking my desk as they didn’t detach the legs and carried by the heavy top. Refused to pay to fix or replace as its value go then was less than £250. Never again.

What can i say, efficiency is the name of the game with this guys. They didn't stop not even when i offered them tea/coffee until all of my goods where off their van. It wasn't easy to find a company to work during this Covid-19 pandemic but they came prepared with mask, gloves and even wipe all the surfaces in my flat before and after the move. Can't recommend enough!

Thank you guys :)
