Just over a month ago, Jorvik Removals & Self Storage Ltd really helped me out with a last-minute move from Leeds to London and I honestly couldn’t have asked for better service.

After another courier failed to turn up as planned, I was left in a very stressful situation, but Jorvik stepped in and handled everything quickly and professionally. The whole process was smooth, efficient and extremely well organised.

Melissa and Connor were both incredibly helpful, supportive and reassuring throughout the move. They made things a lot more manageable for me and my belongings were handled with great care!

Excellent service, great communication and genuinely reliable — I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a trustworthy removals company.

Delivered over 3 hours late. Cancelled the job numerous times. Changed the cost of the delivery several times and added additional vat over and over whilst also damaging my items. When speaking to the owners you realise why everything is ran poorly. No manners. Extremely aggressive and rude, had both Melissa and ‘Spud’ shouting at me down the phone absolute grief because I said I wanted to pay on completion of the job not half way. They bully you into paying cash so they can avoid declaring and paying additional fees. If you don’t they threaten to keep your item as they state it’s their property till you pay (prior to even completing the job). Would not recommend.

I was a potential customer considering engaging this company’s services, but after carrying out what I considered reasonable due diligence, I decided not to proceed. I want to make clear that I have no connection to any previous negative reviews I noticed posted shortly before mine.

During my research, I became aware of several concerning issues. Multiple items were returned to a customer in a damaged condition, while other items were reported as missing and could not be accounted for. Responsibility for these issues was attributed in some cases to a former employee and, in others, to the customers themselves. I understand who was being referenced but will not name them publicly. Information from multiple current staff members does not appear to align with the explanations provided.

I also observed that in replies to previous negative reviews, the company suggested that certain dissatisfied customers were employees attempting to harm its reputation. I am aware of at least one instance where that assertion does not appear to be correct. In addition, some public responses included explicit and confrontational language directed toward customers, which is not what I would expect from a professional business. I also came across reports of operational concerns, including irresponsible or unqualified drivers, inappropriate parking, and inconsistent attendance.

While I appreciate that issues can arise in any organisation, accountability, transparency, and respectful communication are essential. Based on what I observed and was told during my research, I chose not to proceed, and I would encourage prospective customers to review the company’s public conduct carefully before deciding to use their services.

Wow Melissa & her team were fantastic during our house move.
Connor & Simon turned up on time were polite, hardworking didn’t stop all day and yet very careful with all our items and even wrapped all furniture and special padded bags and mattress bags.
If we move again we won’t be going anywhere else!

Melissa and her team were fantastic from the first phone call to the last box being placed. We only booked 2 weeks before we had a moving date and even that wasn't finalised at the time. Melissa was very reassuring that all would be fine and we could change our booking right up to 48 hours before the proposed moving date. With 3 days to go, we still hadn't exchanged, we contacted the very calming Melissa who again very reassuring.

On moving day we were met by a very punctual and polite group of lads. They were really friendly and generally brilliant, nothing too much trouble all day and really flexible with their approach to the job. They even helped out with a water mini crisis that could have been major without their speed and intervention.

In summary we are so glad we went with Jorvik. We had cheaper quotes but I cannot believe the level of service could be matched. Well worth ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Used last year, I will say they are quick, friendly, and flexible - managed to fit me in at short notice. However, their stacking care in the trucks is more like watching someone play buckaroo, crossed with a Japanese subway pusher; and when we got to the other end I noticed the new driveway had broken bits of plastic on it which they claimed to know nothing about. Only later did I find out what had broken, the pieces matched my items; when I tried to raise a claim from them a few times they just didn’t reply to those emails. I recommend clients have their own insurance and watch carefully as they load and unload.
