Movecorp is an agency - it doesn't do the moving itself but subcontracts to others, in this case Hunts. Movecorp advised me they'd be arriving to pack our things on the morning of a particular day. At 11am there was no communication and no sign of them so I called, to be told they were on their way. This was a lie. At 3pm I called again to be told they had just left London. This was also untrue - I know because the Hunts driver called me 45 min later when they were actually leaving Twickenham. Movecorp could offer no explanation as to why they continually invented things to tell me. I wasted an entire day waiting around for a truck that arrived at 6pm. At the other end the truck was arriving on a Saturday. I explained to Movecorp that this was tricky as the destination was storage. Movecorp refused to provide any info on the ETA of the truck (I needed to advise the storage owner). They expected everyone to just wait around, then spin me a yarn about how they couldn't let me contact the truck for Health and safety reasons. Five min later the truck driver called me directly to give an exact time to meet. The Hunts lads were brilliant, hard working and gave good communication. Movecorp is a parasite. They take money while others do the actual work, lie to their clients, and make the exercise more stressful not less. Don't use them - book with Hunts (https://www.hunts-international.com/) directly - they were great.

After obtaining three quotes I decided to get MoveCorp to do my household removal from London to Nice in France. The move was scheduled to start on 25th March 2019 and be completed on 1st April. The move was eventually completed 23rd May. During that time, I was in contact with the removal managers [names removed by Sirelo].
1. I initially sent a list of items to be removed so that MoveCorp could estimate the price and size of the removal truck. They estimated this to be 750 cubic feet.
2. They contracted with a removal company. I thought they did the actual removal, but it turned out that they were just project managers. My fundamental mistake, as all contact with the removers had to be via MoveCorp – slow and very inefficient.
3. The truck that came to clear the flat had a capacity of 1000 cubic feet. They had, however, failed to complete an earlier delivery thus reducing the capacity to 750 cubic feet.
4. It turned that the load was just under 1000 cubic feet, so the removal company could not take all the contents. This was a problem as I had to hand over the keys to the purchaser of the flat the next day.
5. MoveCorp was not able to secure another removal truck the next day so arranged with a courier to take the remaining 250 cubic meters. The courier came in a small van on 26th March complaining that he had not been told there was so much to be removed. He called a friend with a larger truck. I had to help load the vans as I had a deadline for handing over the keys.
6. They completed the removal as I was out to meet the purchaser, but they left some items that should have been removed. My sister picked these up to then be collected from her London flat, and thus my flat was cleared.
7. Both loads collected on 25th and 26th March were taken to a depot in Dartford for transfer to Nice.
8. A load arrived in Nice on 4th April. It became clear, however, that only the first load taken from my London flat was delivered. I called MoveCorp who explained that items collected by the courier from the London flat were still in Dartford.
9. MoveCorp advised that the second load would be delivered to Nice on 10th April. It didn’t turn up and was delivered instead to a depot about 15 miles from Nice. I again contacted MoveCorp who advised that they would not be delivered to Nice for another two to three weeks. They suggested I could use a local remover and MoveCorp would reimburse me. I arranged this at a cost of €465 and the items were delivered on 23rd April.
10. I then submitted claim to MoveCorp for the €465. Despite many phone calls and emails (most of which were not answered) I am still waiting to be reimbursed and it is now 24th September – 5 months after the claim was made.
11. The items left from the removal and taken by my sister were eventually delivered on 23rd May.

Horrendous experience ! They don’t give a date until late Friday the week before the move, sent an 18ton articulated lorry when told it was single farm track accès, then extremely rude when told I did not want to pay more, threatened to take my furniture to an unnamed depot and leave it there for me to deal with. Eventually did deliver, but extremely stressful !!

Terrible customer service, they told me it would be delivered between 6-8 weeks but it was months and months. They stopped replying to emails/phone calls. They are extremely unprofessional-they have even lost my boxes. I have moved many times and this was the most stressful experience.

I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with some extremely unprofessional people at this company.
The communication was very slow after I had confirmed the payment and had didn't get much information about the pick-up and drop-off timings of my delivery. I had to follow up many times to where I spoke to a few people who were rude and just hung up on me when they were not able to provide correct information. Such bad customer service which made me not trust them.

Their initial communication was OK, but beyond 2-3 days they did not respond through email, or were very delayed in doing so. We had to call them numerous times, reminding them that the booking details were wrong. For example: that we lived on the third floor and not first floor, that the delivery address was incorrect and also when they would confirm a collection date.

On the day of the collection, we called them at 11am, and an employee confirmed that they would call the driver to find out when they would arrive. We never heard back from them. Regardless, the driver arrived around lunch time and said the booking said FIRST floor (which as mentioned above was incorrect).

Therefore I had to help the driver take our items from the third floor to the truck! Had they known it was the third floor, then I assume they would have got more people to help.

Closer to the collection day, we did get a confirmation of a day. On the collection day, by midday no-one had arrived. Therefore we called Movecorps. They said they'd call the driver and then call me back. No callback happened. I then called 2-3 times, and Movecorps said the driver will arrive around 3:15PM. At 3PM the driver called me, and said they were delayed by a day! He said he'd call me the following day around midday.

The next day arrives, no call at midday. The driver then arrives at 7PM, but cannot get the truck down the street. Therefore I help again, collecting the boxes with the driver numerous times and walking down the street to our property.

Please do not EVER use Movecorps.

En retard de 6h car ils venaient d'Espagne.
Ils arrivent avec un camion semi-remorque de 17m de long et 4 m de haut, donc impossible de rentrer par la porte de la propriété et impossible de stationner dans le village.
Ils ont chois une aire de repos pour la nuit à 45 minutes de trajet en petit camion que NOUS avons du payer en plus pour allez où ces messieurs avaient choisi de dormir.
Une TRÈS mauvaise BLAGUE cette expérience.
En plus,une gois payée l'aadition ils sont revenus le lendemain pour demander un prime de €100 pour les huit étages à l'arrivée. Ces huits etages avaient eté déclarés DÈS la première demande.

Hi There

I used Movecorp to move my personal belongings from Germany to Ireland. I paid the whole invoice upfront (2195.22 GBP including insurance, Invoice 106298 and 106023 + insurance for 245.22 GBP). I took a day off on Friday the 21/09 for the collection and nobody came. Their excuse was that they had problem with the truck but I only found out at the end of the day by keeping on ringing them (They never rung me)Then Movecorp organized a pick up for the next day with a collection between 12:00 and 1pm. I rung Customer service and they told me they are on their way. Finally at 3pm they came and had to load the stuff with the driver for an hour. I paid for storage for 4 month and reach out to the Customer service early January and they told me they acknowledge it and that they will know mid January. Since then I never heard from them, they never rung me back. Sent follow-up email, tried to ring Stuart several times no news.

Can someone tell me where my goods are ? They have not been delivered yet

AVOID!! DISHONEST!! COWBOYS!! Never dealt with a company so disorganised and unreliable as MOVECORP. They were very quick to take nearly £2400 from us, promising a professional stress free move. We were promised the large items would be blanket wrapped on collection and a full inventory would be completed on collection and checked off at the delivery address...this never happened, nothing was wrapped as promised and no inventory done. We were promised delivery on the 19th of November, I actually got them to confirm this on two different occasions as we were travelling out to meet them and moving into our house that day. They never turned up and were left in an empty house with sleeping bags on the floor for 4 days as they kept breaking promise after promise regarding delivery, I even stupidly waited up until 11pm one night as apparently the delivery was near us but stuck in traffic and would definitely arrive...surprise surprise...more lies!!!. 10 times we were promised our calls would be returned but never were. When our goods were finally delivered to us my wife was reduced to tears as each piece of our furniture was unloaded, they were almost all damaged badly. Settee was damaged and stained, all the white goods were dented and scratched, living room furniture was scratched and damaged, quite a few of the boxes we packed smaller items in were soaked through and falling apart, glasses etc that had been bubble wrapped.
After several phone calls and me having to chase them up they offered £50 compensation.
Beware all the false reviews!!!! Use a professional company instead.

Terrible service. Quoted 9 to 12 weeks delivery time, I've been jn NZ 11 weeks and my stuff still sat in the UK. Communication is terrible. I took off lots of stuff from the quote and added different stuff as my buyers messed me about til the day of pick up and they wanted £2355 more when it was about the same amount. Got then to reduce it but only by £500 and couldn't carry on because of the stress. Would neber recommend them. Packers werent even going to wrsp a crystal vase at £80 till i mentioned it

Once i had paid the customer service became non-existent. My move coordinator answered 3 out of 20 of my emails where i was asking questions regarding the move. I realised I had to call to get answers, so I spent a lot caling the UK from NL. Once my goods were on the truck my move coordinator lost the truck completely. It took over a week longer than expected. He could not and would not give me an ETA. He told me he had no idea where the truck was. He called me all sorts of names and was absolutely awful. Totally forgot that I was the customer and he was supposed to helping me. It was one of the most shocking and terrifying and stressful experiences I've ever had, anywhere. I am only now able to talk about it. I was deeply depressed and anxious after dealing with him. He should not be doing that job. I recommend that company is not used.

What a shambles!
I moved from Scotland to Guernsey with the unhelpful help of MoveCorp. The person allocated to me, [name removed by Sirelo], lacked communication and was never in office when I phoned. I sent my deposit and never received a receipt for nor did I receive a confirmation of the actual pick up date in writing. I then received an email from her to let me know of the remainder to be paid by the following day however they had not deducted the deposit so I had to phone up about that. I then paid the rectified amount and did not receive a confirmation of payment until after my third phone call to the company on the date of pick up.
That brings us swiftly on to the pick up date, 10th August. This date was chosen as I was getting the next day flight to Guernsey thinking that the boxes would arrive on the Monday morning and I wouldn’t go too long without the essentials. 9:30am I phone MoveCorp to check that it is still on, they look at their system and say my pick up is still active, I ask for the monetary confirmation and they said it should have already be sent, and to check my junk folder which I had prior to this phone call as this was their response the previous call. They also said to call back at 3pm if there had been no contact. 2:30pm I call and they tell me that they have until 5pm to arrive so to hold tight. 4:30pm arrives and I call again they then finally contact the agent who said that they have already picked up my 6 boxes. As I sit there facing said 6 large boxes MoveCorp ask whether they have been picked up within the last three minutes of our last phone call. NO, THEY HAD NOT. [name removed by Sirelo] who had asked that then went on to ask what tracking number was on my labels. LABELS?! What labels? I have received no labels? She said I should have received labels. (Yeah there is a lot of things I should have received like labels, a deposit confirmation, an official date confirmation, full payment confirmation and oh yeah removal people to remove my boxes). [name removed by Sirelo] said she would send these over which she did immediately and was fantastic at trying everything, she said she would check [name removed by Sirelo]’s emails as to why these labels had not been given prior to this. [name removed by Sirelo] then organises for the boxes to be picked up on the Monday so I had to arrange for a place for the boxes and for someone to be off work to deal with this. Up until this point I had not even been told what courier company was being used.
UPS it was, what does UPS stand for I hear you ask: Utter Pathetic Service. How can they turn round and say that they had already picked up the boxes? As if that we were going to say yeah you’re right there are no 6 boxes here in my house, thank you so much for being so efficient! No. Moving country is stressful enough you would expect a service like this would run as smoothly as possible in order to gain good reviews and repeat business perhaps.
Monday arrives and the boxes are collected, it was explained to the driver what had happened and he said that it should; have been that [name removed by Sirelo] that dealt with us on Friday and that he doesn’t usually work a Monday but had to come in specifically for this job. The people that had taken the day off work for this then passed the driver all the documentation that was provided by MoveCorp, INCLUDING THE PACKING LIST. That’s fine off the boxes go and I start to track them online. Estimated delivery Wednesday by the end of the day. By this point I had to go and buy some new items as I could go no longer without the ones in the boxes.
Wednesday I get up early and see that they have arrived on the island in the neighbouring parish so think that they will not be long, the tracker says “Out for delivery” FANTASTIC! I am chomping at the bit to get these boxes now. 9:39am an email comes through saying they have found an exception and that my package is being processed at the clearing agency. No communication other than that. We phone at 4:30pm asking what the script is and were told to phone back in an hours time. We did to be told that customs at the airport require the packing list. OH THAT PACKING LIST THAT WAS GIVEN TO THE DRIVER BACK IN SCOTLAND. Thank the heavens that I am super paranoid about this kind of stuff and took photos of the list, which now thinking about it were sent to MoveCorp, they could have sent it in the first place. I send it over and have been told to phone back in the morning. What would have happened if we had not phoned them up? Would my boxes have just remained in customs until someone got fed up and contacted us? My phone number was written on every box in that shipment, could someone not have phoned it to ask for one? Ugh people.
Thursday the tracker online still remains at the clearing agency. I phone the UPS department in Guernsey at 2:10pm to just be told that they are still being cleared by customs. Half an hour later I receive the call to tell me that they are cleared finally but will not be delivered today. The airport is only a 12 minute drive away so why could they not be delivered after all this hassle having to wait in for numerous days at this point. Andy at UPS Guernsey assures me that they will be delivered tomorrow afternoon.
Surely enough 2pm Friday the parcels were delivered. Some boxes had tears in them and are therefore unusable again but the contents are fine.
I was told by MoveCorp that this whole process would take just two days, I had to wait seven to receive the boxes, had to arrange for someone to take a day off work to be in for the removal and had to buy new items because they had not arrived within the time allocated.

Came to pick up my boxes out of the time slots.
No information about the whereabout of the boxes. Changed the delivery date 4 times (with no warning - did not call to say they were not coming - I had to call them several time per day). At the end it took 5 weeks for them to deliver my boxes from UK to France...
One of the people I spoke to threated me to send my boxes back to the UK if I was not home to collect them (on the 3rd date they gave me) and they did not delivered the boxes on that day...
The all experience has been very stressful for me and my family. The way the team speaks to their customer is absolutly shocking.
Will NEVER use them again.

We shipped 21 boxes with this mover, the time estimate was 10 days; it ended up being 5 weeks. In the end, only 19 boxes out of 21 arrived to the address in Italy. The company contact Melanie Cooper at first replied to my email and promised 'to email the warehouse' but then stopped returning my emails. Their phone is impossible to get through. This is a scam company and I recommend to steer away from it.

I called in about a week before I moved out of my space in London and the way they responded to my request was excellent. Their customer service team is top notch and always ready to help out in dire situations. They came in early on the day and helped me pack somethings and in no distant time, they moved my stuffs to my new place.

I'm very excited I used their services out of the various firms I checked out online. Keep up the good work guys.

Our experience with this company has been beyond awful. Make sure you carefully review their terms and conditions because they will rely on them to absolve themselves of any responsibility for delays to delivery and/or lost or stolen items.

We were advised that our shipment would be delivered from London to Dubai wihin 8-12 weeks. The shipment did not leave the UK for 3+ months after it was collected by Movecorp. We were told this was because they wanted to send it on a full shipping container (which made it more profitable for them) but that was NOT within their control and therefore they were not liable for the delays.

Our shipment finally arrived 5+ months later and there were 13 items missing (very expensive power tools) and what was delivered was all damaged and filthy. Again, we were told that this was not Movecorps' responsibility as they were only responsible for 'attempting' to deliver goods and not for their actual delivery. We were told that any compensation for the lost/stolen items was not covered as we had not opted to take out the additional insurance.

[name removed by Sirelo] (the customer support supervisor we were directed to) directed us to take our claim to the Ombudsman and refer back to the Terms and Conditions of the contract.

The whole experience has been beyond frustrating and I cannot believe a company that operates this way is still in business.

We waited months for all of our chid's things and baby items needed (as we were expecting a new baby). We had to replace of these items as they were needed before the delivery arrived. The power tools delayed my husband's ability to start properly working and now it appears that on top of that, we are going to have to pay to replace them all since they were lost/stolen under Movecorps' care.

The contract was changed after goods picked up to another agent by movecorp. At this moment in time we do not have a delivery date and the time period does not fit at all, no guarantee more slippage. Dealings after have been appalling . [name removed by Sirelo] who was not even the named contact was incredibly rude, put the phone down , said if we want to deliver in three months we can , that is why we are cheap. Obviously never heard of [name removed by Sirelo]. I have little confidence that the goods will be delivered, or whether they will be damaged by this change of delivery company, would not have agreed to it if been warned beforehand - apparently movecorp knew this before pick up. Not impressed at all caused a lot of stress and I have incurable cancer anyway. DO NOT NEED THIS STRESS

I have NEVER had such a bad experience with a move. I relocated from Spain to the US and had issues with Movecorp since the beginning. The associate that helped me is incompetent. She didn't even understand their own process. She sent me out to obtain a parking permit for the truck which was a huge hassle. It turned out that the movers already had a permit and I wasted hours of my time. Secondly, the quote I was provided was actually half of what it was actually going to cost when the movers arrived at my house. This happened because they never sent them in advance to assess the home, which is standard practice. How disappointed was I to have to just leave behind tons of my belongings, couch, kitchen table, decorations, clothes and kitchen appliances because I was provided an incorrect quote? I couldn't even sell or donate my items. The third issue was the fact that they held on to my belongings for 6.5 weeks!!!!!! My husband and I were living in an empty house for months. The actual shipment itself only takes about 2 weeks, they stored all my goods for months when the contract stated it would be no more than 3 - 4 months until I received my items. Lastly, to take the cake, a ton of my items were broken or completely shattered. The boxes were stored for so long that they were crushed. It also didn't help that they did a horrible job packing. I have submitted my claim, let's see if I have any more issues. Will update my post if I do.

What a scam! I wish we had read all the dishusting negative reviews on this company. A list of goods were supplied to the company and a quote of £510 plus Vat was accepted. The furniture was picked up and 24 hours later a rather rude and blunt e mail arrived demanding a further £540 was received,They had us over a barrel. We asked for our goods to be returned but that would have cost us more. Not once were we asked to measure the cubic metre or sizes of any of the goods to be moved. They obviously quote a low price to get your custom only to double the price. What a scam. I would never recommend this company. Steer clear do not use !!!!!

I wish I’d take an other company...
we paid for the full service door to door (announced 8 to 10 weeks), but no one came to pack our goods... Just a driver ! So we had to pack them in an emergency without the right material they were suppose to provide... More than 5 months later (Grenoble (for)- Boston) we received our goods (far from the delay first announced!) with some of them broken. Movecorp keeps disgarding us and not answering our emails...
Don’t lose your money, take someone else, they are far from being experts and professional in international moving, and the way they treat their clients is more than disgusting.

I have put one star because the system doesn't allow me to put ZERO stars! I am completely dissatisfied, they are the most unprofessional service provider I've ever dealt with. My goods were never delivered on the day the consignment was scheduled and after days of waiting and dozens of phone calls and emails they came up with an unbelievable list of lame excuses: first they said the key had snapped into the truck door whilst in France and the drivers didn't have a spare key with them (so long for being prepared for any setbacks) so they had to post the spare key from the UK (!!!); then they said that when the drivers received the new key and went to pick up the truck it wasn't there, the police knew nothing about it so they reported it stolen... I and the other customers were left with no updates for nearly a week... then when I informed them that I had managed to trace all the other customers whose goods were on that truck, that we were sharing information and had exposed all the lies they'd been telling us, when I told them we had contacted the British police to report them, then after less than three hours the truck was 'miraculously' found (BTW it doesn't even have a GPS tracker device installed!). Now I and other customers are waiting to hear when they'll resume deliveries and it remains to be seen if and when I will receive all of my goods. What a bunch of clowns.

Everything went on relatively well until my shipment arrived, I had a missing side table which is of a significant value and stationery (of a small value). I reported it right away and removal coordinator said she'll get their staff to search the warehouse. For weeks I didn't hear from her. Had to write to her a couple of times and also to the company general email to enquire. When there's no respond, I sent a Messenger message, threatening to report them. It was immediately after that that I heard from my removal coordinator, stating that they're still looking for the missing items. I then realised that I've not been sent an insurance certificate in spite of paying for insurance, hence I requested for my certificate as I've wanted to proceed with a missing item claim. To our shock and horror, she wrote back to say there were no insurance policy bought! I had made payment, they accepted it, and now they tell me there's no insurance policy covered, blaming me that I did not sign the policy!
I believe it's unethical to collect my insurance premium and stay silent without issuing the certificate. At the very least after billing and collecting my insurance they should have pursued me to sign the policy to complete the process. Now that I am pursuing an insurance claim it's astonishing that this company remained silent throughout. It reeks of some very unscrupulous practice. If I didn't lose any item and didn't make a claim, would they have refunded me my insurance? I'm very displeased with the entire process. It's been less than what I expect from an international accredited mover!

Our relocation from Melbourne to Madrid was contracted with ChessMoving who assigned Movecorp as the local company for the section UK to Madrid.
Our Experience with Movecorp is absolutely disapointing, several customers have reported the same issues in their previous reviews.

- Lack of update - we have never got any information unless we asked for it. Some essential questions (i.e. delivery time, contact to address our complain...) are never answered.
- Obvious delay - timeframes indicated through a templated email which has probably not been updated since years creating absolutely inappropriate expectations.
- No defined schedule, no defined pathway - Movecorp seems not to be able to provide any information regarding who, when and how things will be transported.
- You pay everything and then they will do when they want/can.

This is clearly unprofessional and unexperienced company, we are still waiting them to make any visible progress, so I hope this review will help other customers to select a better way when transferring their belongings.

Firstly I was very impressed. I moved my goods from Tresco (isles of Scilly) to the channel islands. I took out the insurance (best part of £400), sent pictures of my fully packed containers and some goods were delivered damaged. Not even claiming on the telly or bespoke photograph frame (the highest value items) I attempted to claim on insurance. Of course I'm not covered-story of insurance companies lives. Despite the fact that the removal vans were packed by a delivery company and my pictures clearly display no room for movement in the container so how is the wardrobe going to get a hole in the back of it?? I'm absolutely incensed, I even repaired my own PC (didn't operate on delivery) and removed it from the claim. How much more honest does one need to be? Why quote £400 if you don't even cover the goods-are you insane?

Very satisfied from my very contact with the customer service (desk lady). Professional and extremely helpful. However, the moving crew and delivery crew need to be more conscious of time as I do understand situation on the road sometimes. 1-2 hours waiting time could be acceptable but when it's over 4 hours something need to be done. The driver did kept me informed though but personally it's below standard. They can do better.
