What is your insurance policy? How do you deal with damaged items?

John Mason International’s cover is available in three levels; ‘Restricted,’ where the owner covers the total loss of their shipment, ‘Standard,’ which covers all risks except the mechanical and electrical derangement, pairs and sets and mould and mildew options. And ‘Ultimate,’ which covers all risks plus optional extensions.

What is the best advice you would give to customers?

Start planning your international move early, choose a specialized moving company, and inventory your belongings. Be aware of customs rules, sort out visas and finances, and prepare for healthcare needs in your new country. Keep copies of important documents and have emergency funds ready. Proper planning ensures a smoother move.

From start to finish, the company was extremely professional, well priced and very polite. They were on time and super pleasant to deal with. I was kept in the loop and contacted to arrange for packing/collection of goods and confirmed a few days prior to actual date and an SMS the day before confirming ETA. We have moved intercontinentally several times. We have used moving companies for 7 moves over the last 10 years, so do have good experience.
[Name removed by Sirelo] gave excellent service and were the lowest quoted price from 6 collected quotes.
The move coordinator performed very thorough follow-up, calling me regularly prior to the move and on each of the moving days.
The team were very conscientous, and so without instructions from us, they sequenced the multi-day removal so that we had as much comfort as possible (i.e. leaving beds and enough seating unpacked, leaving the packing of kids toys and cups and kettles until the last minute). They were the (joint) quickest removal team that we have seen, in terms of deconstructing, packing and moving furniture.

It felt like the specification of the large container lorry to park outside of our house on the last day (although it worked out OK in the end) was a bit risky given the shape and size of our road.

The person who was given the responsibility to oversee our move was always very rush in the email correspondence, He did not bother to read the full name of the customer so he would address me with the incorrect name, without even a 'dear' in front of the name. once we agreed a schedule for collecting our belonging he omitted to say that they would ship only a month later even though the person who came to quote assured us that the whole operation will last a maximum of 8 weeks door to door. So we lived in an empty house for 2 weeks when our belonging could have been collected nearer the time of shipping.
