Sebastian and his team were fantastic! They were incredibly well-organised, packed up our entire house efficiently and with great care. Communication throughout the process was excellent, which really helped reduce the stress of moving in March 2025. They did an amazing job from start to finish—highly recommend their service!

Booked in on 3rd March for moving date 28th March. Got a confirmation email re access to the new place. As instructed I confirmed exchange on 14th March and was told they had my removal team ready but no vehicles which seemed really odd - price went up as by 40% as they had to “hire” vehicles. They called next day on 15th March to say three of the team were “injured” so they had to cancel. Not convinced. All very disappointing and not professional at all. Having now read other reviews this seems to be how they operate so please be warned you are not booked in unless you pay in full, even though their sales pitch is pay after the move. You cannot pay a deposit. So you can only approach when you have exchanged with a confirmed date or you are at risk of being left high and dry.

I have used this company several times, and our most recent move took place in December when we downsized from a five-bedroom house to a smaller four-bedroom home in the area. The service provided was exceptional. The team members were incredibly polite, efficiently dismantling and reassembling our furniture, and handling everything we needed with great care. I have no complaints whatsoever and would definitely choose them again for any future moves.

Excellent removal service! Both times!
We have used City Removals twice - once when moving from London to Essex in 2017, and more recently in 2024 for a local move in Essex. Both times, the team was fantastic. The booking process was hassle free, the packing team were very professional and careful with our belongings, and the removal team were also very professional, organised and efficient.
We were really impressed with the way the team handled the move - no issues at all. Just lots of hard work, and finding solutions to difficult challenges. We were worried before the move that some larger furnishings would not fit throught the door or up the stairs, and the team found a way around this that we hadn't even considered.
We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending City Removals to people if they want a professional and hard working team to handle the complex logistics of moving house!

Awful service. Currently challenging a TV that was damaged after a large cost removal. They’re saying that because we didn’t turn on every TV and check each one within 7 days they’re not providing us with ANY compensation — and not even a contribution. Don’t touch them with a barge pole!

We are very happy with the service provided by City Removals, and all at a very reasonable price. The guys were great, extremely efficient and careful with our furniture, and our move (1-bedroom flat) was completed within 3-3.5 hours. Would definitely use again!
