Gentleman & a Van was set up following a very poor experience whilst moving flats in London with one of the market leaders in the home removals industry. It was clear there was a place for a man and van, home removals and office removals company that focused on good old fashioned quality of service geared to modern removal needs.

I have used Gentleman & A Van for a number of moves down the years and every time they are exemplary from start to finish. We were moving houses recently and needed things kept in storage and nothing was a hassle or too difficult for them to accommodate. Every employee was chipper and well-mannered and never complained once about moving large quantities of stuff up and down difficult stair wells... I would recommend them very highly to anyone looking to move as you can always expect great employees, great attitudes and great service at a very reasonable price all in!

I had the easiest move ever! Luciano and Matthew have done an amazing job! Great teamwork!
I simply cannot praise them enough! They are polite, professional who knows what and how to do the job, all things were moved with care and attention to detail, all was delivered as I wanted.

The operatives turned up in good time. Were all very polite, careful with our possessions, very good and quick at dismantling and re-assembling some of our furniture when we arrived at our new house (would definitely recommend this part as it saves so much stress and time). They bubbled wrapped everything and packed other items for us such as lamps etc. Then unloaded everything and asked us what goes in which room so they could take the right boxes in the right rooms. Even the office staff over the phone were great at answering questions and made the process run smoothly. A very good job and would highly recommend. Price was also very fair for the amount of work and effort.

We booked Gentleman & A Van quite last minute for a big move. They were very helpful at talking through our exact requirements and very responsive in the lead up. On the day the team were on time, friendly and gave us complete confidence in their ability. They disassembled our furniture and removed all contents from a 2 bed flat and reassembled the furniture in our house within 4 hours - so efficient. No corners were cut. They helped package our fragile items and were careful to ensure all items went in the right place at the new house. 10/10 would recommend.

A horrible experience. We had our move about a few months ago but just getting round to doing a review so others don't fall for same issue. The final price came in double initial quote even though they didnt even complete all the move and left some boxes behind. I had to personally do 8 trips with my car to get all remaining boxes and after inital quote i had to pay extra 600 pounds for extra work they did. Either inital quotes are made too low and charges put on top after or they are very unflexible on a complex process like a house move. Either way I would be very careful.
On their response below. I would like to say its not true. I was given the quote after seeing photos and videos of the property being assured it would be efficient enough time. This was clearly lowballing to get the deal. Also even with the extra hours billed after which increased final price by 30% the move was still not complete. Incredible service - everyone was so helpful and efficient. Despite the poor team getting stuck in a major traffic jam which delayed their arrival at our new house, they arrived with great energy, and even sent an extra support crew to help speed up the unpacking. I would absolutely use them again, and would recommend them to anyone who wants a brilliant, stress-free moving service.
