Gentleman & a Van was set up following a very poor experience whilst moving flats in London with one of the market leaders in the home removals industry. It was clear there was a place for a man and van, home removals and office removals company that focused on good old fashioned quality of service geared to modern removal needs.

The guys at Gentleman & A Van were fantastic helping me and my housemates move from SW London to East London, they loaned us extra boxes and brought plenty of protective gear for our items during the journey, and they were very friendly and chatty during the process.
The move was efficient and a lot less stressful than it would have been if we did it ourselves! This is my second time moving house with Gentleman & A Van, and I recommend them every time I hear someone is moving.
Billie-Jane was also very friendly over the phone and made the booking process very straight-forward. Thanks team and I'll see you again next time! :)

An absolutely brilliant service all the way through. From the quoting process, the generosity in how much they help, the consideration and kindness of staff it has been the only part of moving that has actually been a pleasure. I would recommend to anyone. They even offered to store my plants in their lot for a nominal fee with the rest of my stuff in a container. Just superb.

I obtained four or five quotes from different removal companies when we moved out of our one-bedroom flat in London recently. I decided to go with Gentleman and a Van (GAV). While they weren’t the cheapest of all the quotes, they were very competitive. More importantly, however, I felt confident that they would do a good job as I had used them before.
Billy-Jane was so helpful and friendly when taking down our details and offering us advice. She even arranged for Mark to visit our flat in person to assess the extent of what needed to be moved and to look at access. Once he saw the size of our flat, and all our possessions, Mark recommended having four men and two Luton vans which turned out to be a good decision as both vans ended up pretty full with all our furniture and boxes.
The crew who turned up on the day - Pablo, Eoin, Nicholas and Kasey - were so professional and took great care with our belongings, packing loose items in spare boxes to ensure they wouldn’t be damaged. They were super quick at dismantling our double-bed and a sofa bed and putting them together again. They took great care when arriving in our new flat, laying down plastic sheeting like a runway to make it easy to move around.
The crew said they liked working for GAV, and it was clear they got on really well together which created a good atmosphere on the day. They were so cheerful and reassuring during what can be quite a stressful experience.
In conclusion, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend GAV.Read more

Gentleman and Van were absolutely excellent - far exceeding our expectations. The crew were so 'gentlemany', friendly, efficient and delightful. They did everything with great humour and their care and attention to detail was phenomenal when wrapping and packing our belongings, many of which were delicate and potentially breakable, but they did it so well that everything arrived safe and sound.
We simply cannot praise this firm enough. They were outstanding and made our move a total stress-free pleasure.

Luciano and team were incredibly efficient and most of all cared about the customer. It was stress free and an overall pleasant experience that would have made me go mad(given how many little things accumulated over the years thanks to miss)
They had all the necessary equipment, the vans were clean and the price was great.
Will definitely use them in the future for any moves.

I have used Gentleman & A Van for a number of moves down the years and every time they are exemplary from start to finish. We were moving houses recently and needed things kept in storage and nothing was a hassle or too difficult for them to accommodate. Every employee was chipper and well-mannered and never complained once about moving large quantities of stuff up and down difficult stair wells... I would recommend them very highly to anyone looking to move as you can always expect great employees, great attitudes and great service at a very reasonable price all in!
