421I was then asked to pay extra for an additional mover.
This is a ridiculous situation, as it's impossible to fulfil the contract with one mover. I am told its standard, however this was not made clear when booking. Nor was it clear there would be added costs to the move.
I would stay away from Legend Removals. Or at least factor in a much higher cost when comparing quotes. Its akin to bait and switch - which is illegal!

Very quick respond to have a quote. A lot of very detailed and usefull explanation regarding custom documents. Very flexible regarding pick up date. Very accurate regarding delievery date and time. Great people always available for any questions. Great driver, very careful with my goods and really a lovely man.
Price is very cheap - I asked many other quotes to other companies: there are the cheapiest with amazing customer service.

I contacted [Name removed by Sirelo] who previously was helpful in booking the original service, but this was all a sales scam. When contacted about this ongoing issue and the fact that I was concerned to depend on a company to reliably deliver my belongings when they could not do so with the simple task of empty boxes, [Name removed by Sirelo] said he and therefore neither we should trust the shipping company (the same one he works for?) and recommended we cancel the service.
As we are only a month from our move, we said we would like to continue with the service and [Name removed by Sirelo] assured he would get to the bottom of the boxes issue and that this wouldn’t happen with our belongings. When I followed up, I then received an email (see photo) saying the removal was not available. So I guess it is save to say they would’ve lost our belongings and will lose yours too!! 🤣Read more

I was disappointed to see that you chose to include a defamatory statement in your review. I will be investigating this further with Google.
As our service was not utilized by you, we believe it is unfair to make claims about our business losing belongings.
In terms of the boxes - you have asked for 20 large boxes.
We provided you with a substantial amount worth over £100, which includes 8 large boxes, 20 small boxes ( an equivalent of 8 large boxes ) , tissue paper, bubble wrap, and tape. Our records show that we made multiple delivery attempts to ensure you received the materials. We have verified that the provided emails and actual phone numbers for the initial removal enquiry and booking of the move were different. This has caused confusion that has been rectified.
We also addressed your request for addit ional bubble wrap and suggested using tissue paper instead for wrapping small fragile items. However, providing the additional bubble wrap would have cost our business an additional £100-£200, which we cannot absorb as a loss.
In summary:
1. Yes, I have advised you that the service is no longer available to you and I was helpful and promised to fix the delivery of the boxes to you. However upon the final delivery of the boxes, you have declined the delivery, as the driver has not had sufficient amount of bubble wrap
2. We are returning the £ 100 deposit paid
3. As a commercial gesture we are giving away the packing materials free of charge to you. You did thank us for this gesture, but still asked to deliver the 12 large boxes out of 20 you have specifically requested
4. You declined the final delivery of the boxes due to the lack of bubble wrap, despite initially requesting 20 large boxes.
5. Despite these efforts, you left a negative review on Google and Trustpilot.

We regret to inform you that we are unable to verify your order based solely on the initials provided. However, I would like to clarify that for smaller moves, our quotes do include a two-person team for collection and delivery within the UK, as well as one person for collections and deliveries in Europe. There is also an option to add a European mover at an additional cost.
We always emphasize during the negotiation process the importance of having assistance for loading and unloading larger items handled by two people.
Regarding your recent one-star review, we respectfully disagree with the assessment, as it suggests that your entire moving experience—from collection to delivery—was negative.
