Started off well with a reasonable quote and a lot of promises. Came a few days before removal to start packing but ran out of time and said they would finish on the day. They clearly ran out of time again as things were just thrown in and just about managed to fit in the vans.
Some things were over wrapped like a plug had about 3layers of bubble wrap (obviously done on the earlier days) and other things had no protective wrapping (rushed when they ran out of time).
We had to check the house and found wardrobes in a couple of rooms full of clothes which had been missed along with so other items.
When arriving at the new house we were told to say which rooms we wanted the boxes in but found them all over the place which meant lugging up and down boxes ourselves.
We found multiple items broken or damaged such as two filing cabinets which had been taped and pulled the outer layer off when the tape came off.
We only claimed against two items to save all the paperwork. One of these wa
s a large ornament we had specifically asked them to be careful with and found it had been wrapped in a blanket of ours and not proper bubble wrap or special packaging!
These two items were valued at second hand prices which were far lower than you would be able to rebuy the item at and then we were told the excess was higher so we couldn’t claim back a penny!
To top it off they left all the boxes here for weeks whilst continuously saying they would come and get them then making up excuses of broken down vans and empty promises of calling me back.
When they did eventually come they left half of them here so we had to dispose of them ourselves.
