When embarking on the move of the whole household, it gets emotional and stressful. The teams made the process semless and you can see they really knew how to pack efficiently. We have had no damage in the whole process and everything was moved in shorter time than expected.

My items were collected for an overseas shipment on 6th Dec. As of today 21st Dec, I have never had a single communication from them and I am no longer in the UK. I am relying on relatives in Uk to keep chasing them but the only response we get is 'we will contact you when there is an update' which does not seem to happen. I cannot hand on heart recommend this company. The initial quotation phase was fine, after that it deteriorates.

Following the quote and payment process, the quality of services I received from MovingHome have consistently fallen well below expectations. I was hoping not to have to write this review and have given MovingHome numerous opportunities to attempt to correct its mistakes, however it has become clear that it is not equipped to provide quality international moving services.
I hired MovingHome for packing and moving services from London to the United States. Major issues have included: lack of communication regarding logistics prior to the moving date, general lack of professionalism of the packers and movers (on the moving date one packer showed up without any supplies and ended up watching tv on his phone at full volume in my living room for more than 90 minutes), incorrectly packing items for an international move causing them to have to be re-packed by a separate team at the warehouse, failing to follow instructions about separating items to be shipped via airfreight, which I paid a large special fee for (ultimately MovingHome refunded that fee as they were unable to provide the airfreight service, unfortunately that also means I am without numerous items that I expected to be delivered quickly), failing to pack drawers and even entire rooms despite numerous reminders (a different team did come back to pick up the forgotten items), leaving significant trash and mess following the packing services, and it took upwards of seven hours to pack a two bedroom flat which did not have any furniture.
Since my items were picked up two weeks ago, I have repeatedly followed up in an attempt to get confirmation that my items have been appropriately re-packed and to get information about next steps and timing. Though the office has been kind and responsive they have been unable to complete my requests.
I would strongly recommend you look for services elsewhere if you are planning an international move.Read more
