I paid £2,115 for what was expressly described in writing as an Express / Dedicated 20m³ door-to-door removal service, including exclusive use of the vehicle.
In practice, the van was shared with other consignments and our goods occupied substantially less than half of the vehicle. Although delivery occurred within the express timeframe, the issue is not speed but the failure to provide the dedicated / exclusive service that was quoted and paid for.
Several items were damaged in transit. Independent professional assessment has confirmed repair costs and that one item is not repairable.
I raised this promptly and attempted to resolve matters directly. Unfortunately, correspondence was slow and the substantive issues were not addressed within reasonable timeframes. The matter is now with the courts, and I have also contacted the Association of Independent Movers (AIM) in the hope of reaching a fair resolution.
I remain hopeful this can still be resolved, but based on my exper
