What is your insurance policy? How do you deal with damaged items?

All removals are insured for £10,000 per vehicle. If there was any damage, photos would be taken and a form would be completed to send to our insurers for a swift resolution.

What is the best advice you would give to customers?

We advise that customers are as organised as possible. It's important to start gathering your removal quotes early, this allows you to 'shop around' and not stress at the last minute. Be honest with your budgets as there are always options available. Research the companies you're getting quotes from and read their Google and Facebook reviews.

The service, help and actual support I received was second to none. Due to complications with the move, my belongings needed to stay in storage longer than anticipated and then with a fluid moving date the team bent over backwards to help me with good communication, patience and a kind understanding for the situation.
On the moving day the team were friendly, courteous and very helpful. With a couple of my own items that I’d brought and was struggling with they came and helped me.

I would recommend using L & J Home Ltd, hopefully I don’t need to move again any time soon, but if I do need anything they would be my first port of call.

Moving house is notoriously stressful. I've done it a few times, including internationally, and have coped by being obsessively over-organised. Consequently, I have found the removers I have used to be more than up to the task of coping with my numbered and catalogued boxes and systematically dismantled furniture. This time, my wife picked L&J because of their proximity to our final destination and their ability to store books in a climate controlled environment. Working away and desperately short of time, my organisation fell short for this move and we used L&J's packing service for a lot of our things. With just hours to go though, disaster struck when we had a last minute plumbing problem and then on top of that, a fishpond emergency. We were supposed to be doing a last minute clean and instead we were staring in to an abyss! It's at times like this you need your friends, your dad or your brother to come to the rescue. My dad passed more than forty years ago and my brother lives in Australia. My wife's dad and brother are in the U.S., but there was no need to start panic-phoning friends, the L&J team just lifted their game and worked around the problems, helping us, fixing things, solving problems and being as good as the most helpful friends imaginable. We were due on an international flight just hours after we dropped off the keys and had we engaged an average removals firm, I think we would have faced a catastrophe. We had such a fantastic experience. The team were really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There was heavy rain expected on our moving day so they offered to come to day before to pack up the pieces that may get damaged (as we lived down many many steps).
House moving is stressful, but with this team we didn’t feel any stress on the day as they sorted it all. Would definitely recommend.

Brilliant service from start to finish. The team were excellent and communication was great. Jess, Lee and Hannah made my moving day a lot less stressful and they were quick and efficient with the loading and unloading. Everything went back into the rooms I wanted it and they put all the big furniture in place for me. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you L & J
