Smeeton's removals were a well-established company in Sleaford, which started at the beginning of the 19th Century by Mr Smeeton.
In 1998 Mr Panton joined Britannia Movers International, which gave him access to better rates for part and back loads and opened up the shipping prospects and increased the opportunities for more European work.

We had a protracted move as the dates for the two houses didn't tie up, which meant we had to go into rented accommodation. Whilst this was daunting for us, this didn't phase the team at Smeeton Panton at all, and they took it all in their stride, despite there being almost 4 months in-between the moves whilst we completed on the new home. What was especially nice was we had the same crew for all three moves, they made sure that our mirrors and breakables were wrapped in their protected packaging, in which they stayed until the final move - there was no rush to get these back. The guys were super polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. They even made sure that the boxes we needed at the rental, were easily accessible. The team were very efficient and took all of the stress away. We can't recommend them highly enough.

Very rigid procedures in place regarding the moving date which is fixed in stone very early on in the process. No flexibility at all. Very harsh 30% invoicing if cancellation occurs outside of the 10 days’ notice period, be warned they will invoice you and they will not negotiate further other than highlighting their rigid terms and conditions which you have accepted from the moment you send an e-mail setting the original date way back in the moving process. Make certain to read all the small print which is attached to their original quote would be my advice. If you don’t like it then find an alternative removal company.
