Communicated prior to the move confirming date and time if pick up. Very prompt.
Likewise, two days after pick up, telephone call was received confirming date and time of delivery. Again, very prompt, efficient handling of contents, covered and well packed. Shipping was quicker than the post!

Our experience of Mercia Movers was overwhelmingly positive. Uprooting from Carcassonne in SW France to Yorkshire proved to be an exhausting and stressful challenge but the part MM played was both reassuring and successful. They did exactly what it said on their tin. Communication was easy and responsive, with all the staff members we encountered but particularly [Names removed by Sirelo]. Timings were accurate as they did what they said they would do when they said they’d do it. Quite a feat given the distances involved. We have purchased a new build so needed the furniture delivery to tie up with our possession of the keys. It happened exactly on time. We have now unpacked the last of our boxes. Nothing at all was damaged or broken. Brilliant!
A very special mention has to be made of[Names removed by Sirelo] and their two Colombian colleagues. Firstly, [Name removed by Sirelo] manoeuvred their huge lorry down a very narrow French village road, turning onto our drive through 90 degrees and a narrow gateway. They then stripped our house in 24 hours in 40 degrees of August heat. They remained cheerful, polite and hardworking throughout.

The local team who packed us up were courteous, and hard working. They meticulously prepared an inventory. This will enable us to prepare a customs declaration for Spain to ensure we can claim a VAT exemption and to unpack at destination

Excellent administration and support prior to my move, very professional collection, but was a bit disappointed in the care taken with my possessions on delivery e.g. carrying in my fragile boxes by one handle stating “this one is pretty light”, some items covered in dust/chalk, some fragile boxes obviously collapsed due to heavier items having been placed on top during transit. Make sure to use fragile tape to make it clear which of your items require care, just writing Fragile on the box wasn’t enough.
