Whilst Pratchett’s removers delivered a good service on the day; their after service and billing practices are nothing short of deceptive if not bordering on fraudulent.
A payment was taken on my card without first telling me the amount, resulting in them overcharging me to the tune of £50. Upon raising this…I was told “don’t ever call us again” by the owner Gavin. They have flatly refused to refund me the £50+ surplus they are holding; and if indeed they charge for full hours, they should have heeded my request to rerun to the property and collect residual items.
It is a shame because the movers themselves were lovely, but the owner has expectionally poor service and poor ethics.

The team were fantastic - I’d absolutely use them again and would recommend. They made light work of my furniture and boxes, and the whole team were professional and friendly throughout.

They were late on the day of moving with no phone call to say they were on their way. They ended up taking things we were going to dispose of ourselves when we made it clear not to put it on the van. We discovered not long after moving that my bed frame was broken during transit and they never bothered to send a claims form as it was past the point of repair. I wouldn’t go with Patchett’s again, they came across as careless with our belongings which has caused me to spend a lot of money to replace things they broke.

A big thank you and shout out to Patchetts for helping us move last weekend. Their professional and friendly team worked so hard and made everything as smooth and stressfree as possible. They provided all the boxes and packing material we needed. There was no need to empty drawers, and clothes were transfered from our wardrobe straight onto rails for transport and then into wardrobes at the new house. Honestly can't imagine what chaos it would have been doing it ourselves. Highly recommend them if you are moving 🏡
